Well, while I was in prison, I found out a friend of mine is still alive. And I've been thinking about her ever since everyone helped me to escape, including the last time I saw her.
*Kira looks out the window at the stars before answering.*
I understand completely. Its ironic actually, my first real friend was Athrun Zala. But... perhaps what was more important than him were the friends I mentioned on Heliopolis.
I had moved there to avoid the war, and kept to myself for fear of being found out as a coordinator. Despite this, they pushed, pushed and pushed until I couldn't not be their friend.
For me and Marie, it was natural to become friends even though she couldn't do anything but lay there. I would describe things to her, read her stories...everything that I could do, I did. In return, Marie gave me my name...She was everything to me, as I was to her.
Birdie?

I remember seeing you around back on Earth. Who did you escape from this time?

*Kira walks around the corner as Allelujah is looking at Birdie. Birdie then flies up and lands on Kira's shoulder.*
Oh, hello Allelujah. I hope he wasn't bothering you?

I don't really know what she meant to you, but I can tell it was a lot whatever it is.

I did find Marie. But she doesn't remember me. In fact, I don't think she remembers herself.

We will reach her, we have faced far greater challenges than that before.
