J. Pierrepont Criss!
You know what's heartbreaking?
Aside from the fact that I couldn't sleep all night and thus, got up from bed and cooked noodles because I was freakin' hungry?
Me, not being able to attend Darren Criss's Broadway debut.
I'm still far from going to New York anyway. But sometimes, I'm wishing for something magical to happen - like I could teleport to 302 West 45th Street in Manhattan or whatsoever just so I can see Darren up close on stage.
But no. Life's not like that. I'm stuck here in this recovering city of Cagayan de Oro in Philippines which is miles and miles and miles away from New York. While the show was going on, I was in front of the computer, blogging, and hoping to heavens that the universe would grant me one freaking wish.
It's over - the debut, that is. But Darren's role as J. Pierrepont Finch won't end until the 22nd! Still, I'm wishing for a miracle. I have two weeks. But you see, I'm being tortured by these photos, videos, gifs, and interviews of Darren in How to Succeed. I'm killing myself by actually staring at the images!
Darren nailed it. From what I have heard in a video recap of the show, the musical comedy was flawless and not a single mistake was made. And dude, Darren freaking deserved that standing ovation. He cried after his first Broadway show. Who wouldn't? From that small theater in Michigan, to a Broadway theater in New York! From playing Harry in A Very Potter Musical parody, to playing J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business without really Trying! From that dude who played Disney songs in Youtube, to a phenomenal Broadway star!
He has gone far, hasn't he? That's because he makes smart choices to keep the good things going. And that's because he always shoots for the moon in his work so that he's happy when he lands on the roof. And that's because he never takes no for an answer. That is because he is DARREN EVERETT CRISS.
Every time his face would show up on my dash, I'd just want to burst into tears because of his unfathomable awesomeness. So I wanna cry. And die. I'm dying, even until now. I'll be reincarnated once I meet him.
Gosh, I would trade my dream of traveling the world just to spend one whole day with him!
