Things are looking up!

I feel like I had a very productive weekend. I got the christmas lights down and the front yard cleaned up on saturday and then the backyard and inside cleaned up on sunday. The weather was just so nice and perfect. It really felt good to be out in the sunshine again. Sometimes the house gets a bit claustrophobic when I have to stay inside from the weather. It was nice to get out and breath the fresh air!

Other news.. Remember when I had said that Caleb's parents were coming back from Alaska and selling their house to move to Wyoming? Well.. Caleb and I have been looking for apartments, but everything is so damn expensive right now. It just makes me sick. I really hate this valley. All these stupid rich Californians move here so they can go skiing and have a 'ranch' in Montana. They jack the prices up on everything! People can hardly afford to live here! So anyhoo.. we looked at a house that was going to be about 950.00 because of the dogs.. I liked it and I liked the landlady, but I just get sick to my stomach thinking about wasting all that money. At least if you are buying a house you know you will be getting that money back eventually.

So we talked with Caleb's dad and we just decided that we would like to buy the house from them. It works out because we don't have to move and they don't have to wait around for a buyer. I was just worried that we may not be able to afford a house like that. It's 4 bed, 2 bath. I want to make sure they get the money they deserve because this money will be towards their retirement. I'd hate for them to give us the house cheaper to help us out, but not get the real amount the house is worth. They'd totally do it too. They're so unbelievably nice.

So.. not that I want to live in MT forever, but it makes more sense to put money toward a house while we're here. We're excited about it! We've been talking about all the little changes we'd like to do. Backyard work and renovations. I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
