Ameno
When I just came to Holland..it was March..my B-day is in April, and for my first B-day in NL dad bought me keyboards with mic. I was totally mesmerised by that present..I spent countless hours playing, singing..figuring out sounds, beats and cobinations of both...
At the time my Yamaha model was top notch..12 years passed, so, please,do not be harsh on keyboards sounds as it is ery old-fashion now. I also had and still do not have special program to record my msic-making, but I just had an impulse to do this. It sounds as was taped on tape-recorder,
For me, playing and singing is another (and in some situations easier/better) way to express myself, how I feel..another language I "speak". How "fluent" I am is another matter and not for me to judge, but I just have a need sometimes to do it. I then close all doors and windows and do my thing.
This is the first time I ever post my voice in my blog. There were times when I wanted to make music my profession. But due to various factors I've chosen another road. I never really persuated music carrier and it is way too late now, but let these little music posts be another way of me saying what I have to say or feel..or like.
I was an enormous fan of Disney cartoons in my teens..and although my favourite was always Beauty and the Beast(as I could relate to Belle the most), the voice of Little Mermaid was something I truly admired. When I was 11 or 12, I think, I decided I want to have a voice like Ariel...or something close to it..Although I was studying music from my 6, it was Ariel (Jodi benson) who motivated me to sing. I was always a pianist till then...but after Little Mermaid..which I saw many-many times on an old pirate video-tape..I started to focus on singing. In a school chor from second soprano I became the solist. Even my teacher got interested in my brutal determination and put me in front eventually. I also got into a rock band later, but then moved to NL..and from then I only sang and played for my soul and those whom I really liked.
This is my version of "Ameno" by ERA. Was a big hit when I just came to NL..I was not used to that kind of music..and likedit a lot..so here it is. Hope it is not too bad...
