Genres: Discrimination!
I have already written before that I am a hardcore PS3 defender. In my opinion, it is the most democratic console..with XboX360 being typically boyish amd Wii being typically family-oriented platforms. We all knwo that the mass target group for video games are males: boys and men. And THIS is discrimination. It is time for us, girls, to stand out and demand more games that's gonna satisfy our needs :) if u compare the amount of Shooters and Sport games to Action, Adventures, Action/Adventures with RPG elements..the later ones loose the battle.
I also often hear that many of the games do not tempt to be replayed, but HEY what I also noticed that guys usually mean shooter's in this respect. In my experience, Action/Adventures and RPG's are replayed by mean many times..because there IS something to come back to: more puzzles and secrets ro unlock, additional levels to play, different path to choose, etc etc etc.
I totally respect everybody's right to like different genres..but u gotta admit that most of them are typically men-oriented: shoot-to-kill, war-games, sport-games. Me not like!
I demand MORE RPG's and more Action/Adventures with breath-taking plot!!!!!! I like to live an adventure! Although, sometimes I can really enjoy the shooter too. :) But we talk about the proportions here..and these are clearly out of balance.
Platform: Exclusive!
Boy, do I hate "Exclusive!"..Grrrrr..well, I don't mind if it's exclusive for PS3, like UNCHARTED or Heavenly Sword..or FF XIII..and yes, because I actually own ps3, but I hate exclusives for xBox360..for example, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja...I guess, the one who pay's better, get's the exclusive rights..stimulating the sales fo the console as well...But even I, shovinistig PS3 piggy, agree it would be better to sell all games of next-gen for both ps3 and xbox. Yeah, if u have exclusive right for the game, and u're the only one who can sell it..yeah...but still...I can't buy Xbox just because of Naruto..so I made a little research about the upcoming games for Xbox..and nothing tepmts me so far, except for Lost Odyssey...and still I'm not buying Xbox..and it would be pretty annoying to switch cabels every time I want to play a different console...or do they have splitters for these cables?..I use DVI cable for ps3..the rest ports are also busy..with DVD and VIDEO.
In between:
- I hate that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is only available for AMERICAN ps store..Where is the fair judgement...?
- When will Konami come up with the new-gen castlevania.the last rumour on the subj are dated by 2005. WTF? One of the most successful series in the gaming history..and takes so long...At least SOME rumours would be nice..We only heard that IGA is definitely promissing some new-gen Castlevania, but what, when, who?? Unknown...
- I want some more information on Kingdom Hearts III
- And it's very annoying that release of FF XIII is moved from Q1 2008 to TBA 2008.
- I sincerely hope that NAUGHTY DOG will continue NATE'S DRAKE series. The games was a huge success..
- And I also hope for FolkLore II
- Just u imagine what will become out of GOD OF WAR III!!!!! :) This one I am really looking forward to.. :)))
- And next-gen PRINCE OF PERSIA is also promissed to the masses. Exotic adventures with puzzles and battles..rrrr miauw...ME WANT!
- I think PROTOTYPE is gonna be an interesting game...
- Are there rumours about ASSASSIN'S CREED II?
- I hope that NARUTO game for PS3 won't be just battle-based..but will also have a story-mode
- Next.gen YAKUZA..also tempts me
- And, of course, I will never pass by TOMB RAIDER: UNDERWORLD. This reminds me, I still gotta buy TOMB RAIDER: ANNIVERSARY
- METAL GEAR SOLID 4 is also coming out in Q2 and going to be acquied by me me me :)
- I am seriously considering purchasing the complete AGE OF EMPIRES series...with patches to NATIVE AMERICAN civilizations..like MAYA'S, AZTECS and I guess, INCA'S. Don't remember exactly, what was the 3rd.
- I wish there would be a cool game released on next-gen console about some a la Drake or Lara adventure in Egypt..or a game set in Ancient Egypt :)
Well, these are my plans and expectations in game-department :)
How I explain the smashing success of Wii:
- Children...they can't comprehend the beauty of PS3 yet..They need easy simple games like Wii-sport... :( hahaha, yep, I like Wii sport too..but I have to grump here :) So, papa's and mama's buy them Wii...just their level :) Sorry, children..and Bas ;) Feel free to fight me on that one.
How do I explain that Xbox beats PS3 sales:
- Men..we, girls, are outgunned and outnumbered here. But we will never give up! Will never surrender!

- I updated my ps3 and now can enjoy the benifits of DivX :)..I hope soon enough they will also upgrade it with the possibility to play Matroska files..it's the most common format for anime with dual audio..and I am just too lazy to convert the formats :)
My current gaming obsessions: DMC4 and WoW..In later, I level up with Arno on Emerald Dream as B.Elfs. I am hunter, ofc..And ofc, marksmanship and survival. We level up steady, one of the most relaxing games I know :)
