Okay, is it wrong that on today of days, every year, I don't want to think about what made 9/11, thus far, the most infamous day of our generation? I will never forget it - this I know. I won't forget how I heard it on the radio while I was walking to class that morning. I won't forget how all the students were crowded in the Union, watching the replay on television, and how I thought it looked like something out of a movie. I won't forget how I heard they hit the Pentagon. I won't forget how panicked I felt when I couldn't reach my sister to find out if she was okay because she was working Downtown at the time. I won't forget going home and watching the footage of the Towers collapsing, and of people jumping out of windows, and thinking how horrifying this must be. I won't forget seeing fire fighters, police officers, and other rescue workers covered in soot and ash as they tried to rescue any possible survivors. And I won't forget all of the men and women who have been directly affected by this tragedy.
But it pains me to think about it, to hear about it, and to watch old footage of it. So when it's on TV or in the movies, I don't want to watch it. I change the channel. I turn off the radio. Is that wrong?
