The Math Test: A Poem

Oct 25, 2019 15:22

I sighed.
The math test was soon.
The dreaded math test.
I said, “I have a manifest.”
The teacher said,
“You need to take the test.”
I have no idea what to do.
I would rather stare at spiders than do that test.
So much for that manifest.
I asked if we could cheat on the test.
The teacher never said yes,
But she never said no.
So…
I think I will cheat on the test.
My friends say not to.
I say, “I’ve got to.”
But they said not to.
And I said, “I’ve got to…”
But when the test came,
There was no way to cheat so,
It was impossible.
Now that I look at my test,
I see a 14\14 and I’m like,
Maybe it’s better to not cheat.
But it still felt impossible!
That dreaded math test.

Moral: don’t cheat. It won’t help you.
