The Eleventh Hour Reaction Post - SPOILERS
Well, I liked it!
It was a bit over the top, but hey, for a first episode, that's par of the course. It'd probably get a bit annoying if it was always like this, but I don't think it will be.
I really think Matt Smith is pulling it off. And I actually *like* Amy! I wasn't sure I would. But she's sassy and resourceful (as her various imprisonments of the Doctor prove) and has energy and she doesn't take crap from anyone, including the Doctor. And I think the fact that she spent most of her life waiting for him will make for an interesting dynamic.
LOL at the Doctor's continuously improving navigational skills. And he's still rude (and not ginger).
One of my favorite moments was the Doctor calling the eye-aliens and telling them to "Get back here!" so he could give them a proper telling-off. Somehow, he seemed very Nine in that moment - and no, it wasn't just the "Oi!" *g*
I like the new TARDIS. Preferred the old, but like this one.
I think this was an interesting mixture of new stuff and references back to the old. It felt fresh, but still very Who. Can't wait for more. :)
