Oh, I love this! It's so plausible, too: I think we've all been there, said stupid things we don't know how to apologise for. And Jack, despite the security of being the Doctor and Rose's lover, hasn't really had a place he could call home for a long time - and everywhere he's felt secure has crumbled from under him. No wonder he's worried that he might not be welcome.

Stop being an idiot and come home.

Yes - and the Doctor and Jack both have a bit of a temper, and can be stubborn (and "arrogant asshole" is not always an incorrect description of the Doctor *ahem*), so some arguments are bound to turn more heated than either of them really wanted...

And Jack's not used to being forgiven.
