Wow! That was... wow. And... wow. I mean... wow. Yes, I'm so coherent, I know. *grins* Seriously, I loved this, especially the Doctor being so tender and caring towards Jack to help him overcome his panic.

Yes, but did it wow you at all? ;)

Thank you so much for your comment and the betaing! :)

And yes, despite the smut, this story is really all about them being tender and their relationship and trust to each other.

I don't see any smut here. I see a love story with lots of sex. And I enjoyed reading it.

I'm glad that it reads as being about the relationship, not just the body parts. :) Thanks for commenting!

This is gorgeous. I really enjoy fics that explore Jack's vulnerabilities, and you did that so well here. I love the way they can be so open with each other, even if Rose in particular seems to feel a tad awkward doing it. In fact, her initial awkwardness really adds to it. Also, I really liked the bit where the Doctor acknowledges that their triad is as much about three pairs as one group of three. Just all around goodness.

Thank you! I'm really pleased with the comments I'm getting for this story. Not just because it's always nice to get comments - though it is - but because they show that the story really does exactly what I wanted it to do. The things people are picking up one are precisely the ones that I wanted to show, so I'm a very happy author right now. :)

Oh, that section you added at the end is just perfect. Yes, it makes complete sense that Jack wouldn't be over it yet after one experience - I'd have expected that anyway - but that the Doctor stayed, possibly in case something like this would happen, and that he talked to Jack, is fantastic :)

And this:

There are things Jack will talk to him about that he wouldn't say in front of Rose. And vice-versa, of course, the Doctor acknowledges without worry. It's the nature of triads that they are about three relationships of two people as much as about one relationship of three.

is so very true. Excellent insight.

So, you're now a hard-core smut writer, are you? Though I do agree with lindenharp, so perhaps not! *g*

Thank you!

Yes - I always knew in my mind that Jack wasn't really as completely over the fear as he believed himself to be while high on sex and emotions, but canaana pointed out that there wasn't really anything in the story to let the reader see that.

I tried fiddling around with the Rose/Doctor conversation at first, but whatever I did, it still seemed almost glib, like one night of hot sex could erase deep-rooted trauma. So I realized Jack would have to wake up and we'd have to see first hand that it didn't.

And yes, the Doctor knew Jack was expecting too much. Hence his taking off the blindfold and keeping an eye on Jack. He knew Jack would need some encouragement once he realized he wasn't as over it as he'd thought.

Hey, you said I was hard-core! You can't take that away from me now! *pouts*
