Yea. I dunno.
So, it's been a while since I updated. 'Cause that's how I roll, as of late.
First off. JOB NEWS. Umm, yay. Today, my boss in charge of youth/ teen activities,(I have a program director boss, Wellness center boss, aquatics boss, youth/ teen activities boss, site supervisor, AND after school program boss, because I'm really versatile in what I do for the Y. Oh, and I have like the boss of the bosses. And all of them can fire me. anyway.) Sara, comes in. Now, Sara's a cool person. Anyway, she was all like "Hey, guess what. This January, we want you to teach a creative writing class."
I pretty much started bouncing off the walls. However, I need to figure out what I'm teaching. I know a lot of you kids write as much as I do; anyone have ideas for online references
about creative writing?
And then she was all "Oh, AND, in November, you're helping us run a lock in for the YMCA leadership camp." Now, every YMCA in like, New Jersey is sending kids. So it's pretty important. So I'm pretty psyched about that, because I've been fighting to get more like, teen oriented activities. And it's like, a 14 hour day. That's...112 dollars before taxes, I believe. Pretty sweet. And we're having a bonfire.
SECOND OFF, school.
I was invited to Phi Theta Kappa today. That's national honor society for community colleges. IT's 60 dollars to get in, which kinda sucks, but it should get me quite a few scholarships, which DOESN'T suck. The part that does stink, though, is that I didn't get the letter till today, and the meeting about it was today. So now I need to go and find the guy in charge of it and beg him for an application. Not fun.
Umm, I'm dreading American Lit tomorrow.
GRADE REVIEW SO FAR.
Child Lit- 99,97,98,93.
History of Western Civ 2- One A, and I have an A in class participation.
Perspectives on Race Gender Class and Culture- No grades yet, but I hae an A in class participation.
Survey of World Cultures-93 on my test, 99 on my paper on Machiavelli.
Point being, I've not gotten lower than an A on anything this semester.
But, I took an American Lit test last week, and I think I bombed it. So that has me pretty distraught, because I wanted straight As this semester.
Umm, I have no idea how I'm paying for this semester. I got a late fee from school today. MY dad's being apathetic about filling out my FAFSA, so now I'm like, begging my mom too. But yea, that's no fun.
And I owe the library five dollars. I forgot to return a book I took out last semester. xD
Umm, I think that's about that.
