The Avatar: Bolin
I would love to put a more handsome picture of Bolin but this is the moment when Bolin became my favorite character.
I love strong willed ladies but when it comes to males, I don't mind a little soft side to them. (I'm a feminist. I adores seeing men cry.)
This picture comes from episode 5.
Bolin's history & character:
Basically, Bolin is the earth bender of the team. He is the younger brother of Mako and he has a love interest in Korra.
They lost their parents since young to firebender muggers. Thrown into the streets at the age of 6, Mako assumed the parental role immediately, shielding him from the reality of the world that resulted in his happy-go-lucky personality and a pretty innocent mentality. It is obvious from how Bolin accepted a muscle job that most of his standing (he's a probending candidate.) will refuse.
He often behaves like a child as well.
He has liked Korra since he first met her, seeing her as one of a kind. In episode 5, he tries to get Korra to go on a date with him.Korra, on the other hand, only sees him as a friend while she likes Mako. Nonetheless, she decided to go with Bolin for some 'fun'.
When he tried to give her flower once, he saw Korra kissing Mako and Mako kissing her back although Mako already has a girlfriend. He break into tears immediately (as of above pic) and ran off crying like a girl. That's when he became my fave character immediately. Mako chased him but only managed to find him the next morning, 'drunk' on seaweed noodles. He called Mako a 'brother betrayal' and refuse to go home with Mako. He wailed that Mako to put him down when Mako carried him home like a potato sack. He's too cute~ Who would have imagine that considering Bolin's looks and built?
I really hope that Bolin finds a good partner at the end of the show that loves him back as much.
He deserves better.
