NNNNGH I WASN'T WRONG. This was good *__* I loved the characterization, loved the pictures you've painted. More importantly, I believed them. I believed Ichigo working all day and night and wanting nothing more than for Renji to yell at him and then hold him (fuck yeah LOL: And honestly who wouldn’t if it meant he’d get to be cradled by a much larger body without calling it cuddling and hurting your manly pride.), I believed Ichigo sulking on a roof and Renji just knowing - oh, how I squeed at that: Until he’d feel a presence beside him as a very familiar figure would join him on the roof and all of a sudden the dawn wouldn’t be so cold, so lonely, so in pain. without even saying a word.
Then it took a sexy turn with this: Yet it was always about body heat, about seeking warmth, about blending into one, melting. It was all about the fire in the tangle of sheets and limbs and words never said. which I obviously loved because look at it, and because

I do have RenIchi on my list of things to write, they're just waiting for their turn. Seriously, I haven't written anything RenIchi in quite a while so I felt a bit rusty.

I seriously didn't think that people would like this - it was born around 4 in the morning (one of the reason for typos) and rushed so I'd make it in time for zea's bday and altogether it's not what it was supposed to be. But it just means I'll be using the leftover notes for something else, some more RI ^^.

Ah, I'm really happy you like it. You're comment made me blush actually and write ya back with this big grin on my face ^^. So I'll try to please ya with more RI soon.

I liked this so much - I really see these two as very action-oriented, as well; that if they feel something, they tend to act on it, not talk about it...and that if they do end up having to talk about it, it's pretty unpracticed and the words often come out a little strangely. XD

I loved your descriptive imagery, and the contrast you drew between the cold of the world outside and the heat in the relationship between these two. Yes, I too think that they'd both burn really hot, as well, whether that's in arguments or in bed. :D And I love the way that Renji is silently there to support Ichigo, whether it's warming him up in bed or sitting beside him on a roof to watch the sun come back up.

Thanks so much for posting this great piece! I agree with Spiky - I'd love to see some more RenIchi from you, too. :D

Thank you so much! I'm really happy to hear that people actually like this. I was feeling bad about how it came out ^^;;.

They're both creatures of fire so when they're together their heat affects everything around them. Be it destruction of public property or catching them with their pants down XD. Or that's what I think.

Though honestly, I made Ren so silent so he wouldn't end up saying someting silly and piss Ichigo off as it might have affected the flow of the story XD

I can't promise anything, but I'll try.
