Iceland for the win!!
OK, no offense to Iceland -- I really think that your volcano is pretty damn cool despite the fact that it has really jacked up a lot of stuff around the world -- but what is up with the spelling?

The first time I saw that, it looked like a keyboard smash. And then I wondered why Yahoo was posting a keyboard smash in the middle of a news article. And then I finally realized why none of the news broadcasters on TV have been saying the actual name of the volcano. The talking heads can pronounce "Icelandic volcano", but no one outside of Iceland has a clue how to say Eyjafjallajokull.
I had no idea that Icelandic was derived from some obscure branch of Elvish... So we'll score one for Iceland. And then we'll give Iceland another point for Northern Lights on top of a spectacular volcanic eruption. Overall, Iceland for the win!
And all of that reminds me of the Type O Negative poster that hung in my dormroom: "Even colder and darker than their Icelandic homeland." This blood's for you... That's also from the poster, not just a hideous pun.
Yep, I'm tired and borderline delusion. But, the semester is all but over and I survived this crazy week. Yay! After I sleep for 12 to 16 hours (seriously), I'll be back. Maybe even with a real post this time. ^_^
