Srsly?
Yesterday was a horrible day at work. Drama overdrive finally pushed me way too far, so I snapped and started to push back. It was right there on the verge of getting really ugly...
So today, when my boss called me into her office, I was a tad nervous. Did I mention that yesterday's sparring was with a couple of her favorite little toadies? Yeah. But to my utter shock, my boss apologized to me.
o.O;
I almost fell over. I didn't know that she was capable of apologizing, much less to me. And then she went on to compliment me on my work ethic and ability to stay out of the drama. She even asked me to be on her new progress initiative committee. And then she asked me what my plans were regarding my college degree and post-college career, offering to help me meet whoever might help me meet my goals and advance to the sort of position that I might be looking for with the bank after graduation.
I am still in shock.
My boss might be some kind of pod person. Or even a zombie. But I hope not, because I don't want to slay someone who is being nice to me.
And now it's time to head to campus for speech class. I have to pitch my zombie idea and get approval. I have a whole big argument laid out, so I'm going to convince this guy that I need to give this speech. And 200 people have replied to my survey in the first 48 hours, so obviously, there's some genuine interest in the subject! Many thanks to everyone who took the time to take my survey and help me out -- you rock! ^_^
Team USA vs Team Canada for the women's hockey gold tonight. I'm recording it to watch later. Should be an awesome game! If you've never watched women's hockey, you should check out the two dominant teams in the entire world. These teams are fierce rivals and sort of hate each other a little bit, so it should be an awesome game. Go USA!!
