God hates physics.

So, today during my Physics 028 lecture, the power went out, effectively cancelling the lecture. On Monday, a fire alarm went off during said lecture, with the same result. I take this as proof that God hates physics. Can't blame the guy, really.

On a related note: this is hilarious. (Found via this webcomic, which is awesome, and which you all should read.) Personally, I think that quantum physics, and all these theories which have come from it, are in fact a gigantic practical joke played by physicists on the rest of humanity. "Let's come up with some ridiculous theory, throw a bunch of incomprehensible math into it to make it look good, and see how many suckers will buy into it!" The 'quantum suicide' thing I linked is the latest part of this elaborate plot - I imagine the people who came up with the idea have a pool going as to how long it will take until some idiot tries the experiment and blows his brains out. Which would actually be rather hilarious. But evil!

Also, this is just awesome. Jeremy, you'll especially love this.

Finally, anyone want to engage in some drinkery tomorrow? Got an orgo midterm to celebrate/forget.
