So Vanillaware's Muramasa both lost and received a new publisher in less than a week. Crazy, I know. It's current release date is set for September of 2009. That's a little further back than scheduled, but considering its new publisher that only makes sense. Too bad I'll be in Korea at the time, so I won't get to play it.
And The European version of ToS:KoR has been announced. In addition to the game itself, the game also contains:
"Brand new content exclusive to the PAL version of Tales of Symphonia™: Dawn of the New World include the Gallery Mode and head accessories. Unlocked once the game is completed, the Gallery Mode includes a Skits Library containing viewable skits of the gameplay, and an Image Library with a wealth of design sketches, illustrations, pack art and more. The game also contains a number of new themed masks and head accessories for Emil and Marta which are exclusive to the PAL version and allow players to customise the characters in battle and will also add new special effects during fights."
First Vesperia and now Kor. URGH. .....you suck, Namco.
I could live without the themed masks and accessories, but a skit viewer? And design sketches/illustrations?
Well, maybe if I'm lucky they'll at least release some sort of artbook with the sketches in them. ;-;
And now for a totally different topic...
One thing has always bothered me... why is everyone so down on Final Fantasy IX? It really bugs me that people are like FFVII, FFVIII, FFX, FFXII. I'm not trying to bully any of the other FFs, but what is up with all the FFIX hatred? It kind of bugs me since FFIX is my favorite of the games. My first FF was actually FFVIII, but I never really got into it through that. Squall really wasn't my type and I wanted a more fantasy-like world. FFIX delivered that. Not only was the world fantasy-like, Zidane was happy. Happy! He listened to peoples' problems and did his best to care for everyone in his crew. Granted, I'm sure Cloud and Squall got less emo and more caring over time, but starting out with an upbeat character was like a breath of fresh air.
Final Fantasy IX is so underrated.
I guess this is just another reason why I'm not a big FF fan. I have nothing against FF, but I can't say I like the fandom as a whole. Too much FFVII bothers me. Cloud is super great. Sephy is awesome. Yeah. But I'm bored with it. I haven't even played the game and I'm already bored of it. It's kind of a shame...
