So I think I'm almost done with Tales of the World, which is ridiculous considering I've only got about 10 hours in the game. Is it really that short, or is it because I don't try to do every quest? I dunno.

Anyway, the good and bad.

-Good-
-I like how the battle music changes when one of your quests features a Tales character. I especially like Senel's.
-customizing your character and how your outfit changes when you buy new armor.
-all the fun little skits
-Luke, Tear, Kratos, and Senel all have the same VA

-Bad-
-Kanonno
-Some of the quests are insanely difficult. Or maybe I just suck?
-AIs can be so stupid
-Lloyd's voice makes me laugh
-yucky jaggedies
-Harold
-the fact that generic characters can refuse my invitation. Learn your place, people!

The wannabe Sephiroth villain makes me smile.

Most of the cast like me a lot, so getting them to go on missions isn't that hard, but sometimes they refuse anyway. I tend to suck up to a lot of characters like Luke and Senel so they'll join my party. As it stands, I like pairing up with Stahn, Leon, Kratos, Lloyd, Luke, and Senel. I usually use Segal as my main healer since Lotta is a douche and won't always join up with me, despite the fact that she's a generic character. Boo.

Oddly enough, I'm liking the game a lot more than I thought. It's so weird.

I tried to play a little more of Rebirth, but that game is beyond me. I think Annie has healing powers, but I can't get her to use them- in or out of battle. It's kind of frustrating, especially right now since the monsters in my current location tend to poison the characters. Thankfully, there's a healing save spot nearby. I'm thinking of raising there until I can buy a crapload of items before taking on the boss-- if I can ever get to the boss. I'm also stuck in the game. I have some idea of what I'm supposed to do, but I'm not quite sure how to do it.

Somehow, also, my onscreen character chanted from Veigue to Mao. Not sure how that happened. I have been using Mao to torch flowers, but that shouldn't have permanently changed my on screen. It's not that big of a deal, though I do usually keep the main character as the on screen character, unless I totally hate him or something.

Rebirth is fun, but it's a little frustrating. The game really makes me feel stupid. XD Not because I don't understand what's going on in the story but because I don't really understand its battle system. It confuses me to death. It LOOKS simple, but once you start playing around with it it's really weird. And it doesn't help it that everything is in kanji. I guess I need to go look up a Rebirth guide or something.

Less than a week from now I'll be playing KoR (most likely, anyway). I am so pumped! Every time I see pictures, whether they be fanart or authentic, I get excited. Sure, they have disappointed me in some regards, but that doesn't stop my excitement.
I'm hoping that the game will let me play as Richter during the first part of the game where you and Richter are wandering through the cave. From what I can tell, I think Emil will be my main char, but I want to try out Richter as long as I can since he doesn't stick around for long.
The cave scene is fun because there are a lot of amusing exchanges between Tenebrae and Emil, and later Emil and Lloyd. The whole "LLOYD IS TEH EVIL" is something I still can't get over. I mean, thinking of Lloyd as a villain? The thought is just so ridiculously hilarious.

I signed up for classes for the following semester. Most of the classes I am taking are online *gags*, but I'm also taking one class at school. German 101. Everyone had very interesting reactions to that, but most everyone was like, "WHY?". It's true, I don't need another language. I've fulfilled my language requirements twice over now, and even further with Chinese. So why torture myself any more? To be honest, I got dragged into it. The lady found out I had taken so many languages and instantly decided that I was interested in languages and should keep going with it. The only two languages left that I hadn't taken at the school were German and French, so I wound up getting signed up for German.

My mom is still reeling from the shock.

Fun times.

It's going to be weird studying a European language again. Spanish was wretched enough with its endless conjugations. I can only hope German will be kinder.
I've already went over one of the books in attempt to learn how to pronounce everything properly. The hardest to remember is that the way they're spelled isn't always how they sound. Ws, for example, sound like Vs. But once I get over that, I think German won't be that difficult. At least not in 101.

Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 to 10:50

I still want to take art. *pouts*
