Diary of a Princely Girl
I was shopping for a present for Janelle Monae today, and wandered into a cute shop with weird quirky things. The Chinese lady working there inquired about my oversized headphones, and told me I looked like a singer. Puzzled, I thanked her. I assumed she meant because I looked like I’d just walked out of a recording studio. (?)
Then she kept following me, adding “I just can’t remember his name!”
…After I’d been there about 5 minutes browsing, and she had gone to the back counter to discuss with her other coworker, she came back and said, “John Lennon! You look like JOHN LENNON. Did anyone ever tell you that!?”
Me: “…..Yes, actually.” @____@
I think John Lennon was good-looking. And I’ve been told by a lot of straight girls (especially in highschool, ugh) that I would make a really hot guy. I don’t get why I can’t just be a hot girl. Why do they require the extra appendage to find me acceptable? >8/
