I have a new default icon and I love it so. Would you look at that. So pretty.
Anyway! I did indeed hit up Disneyland on Tuesday with the wonderful
lynxgriffin. I dressed as Xion on her suggestion, and despite the fact that it got ridiculously rainy at some points, it was still quite a bit of fun. Of course, I come bringing woefully oversized pictures, since Photobucket is weird like that sometimes.
Sad pumpkin is sad. This is likely because he has a stake through his frontal lobes. Poor, sad pumpkin.
Not technically from the Halloween visit, but dude, they set up a Flynn's Arcade in California Adventure. That is all sorts of awesome.
Heeeeeeeeee 8D
This is the costume in question. I had a terrible time finding a wig, so I wound up just not finding one at all. It worked out pretty well as it was - I wound up keeping my hood up quite a bit anyway (and putting up my incongruously cheery umbrella as well) because it rained for so long.
WHO IS THAT MYSTERIOUS HOODED FIGURE
Or, Kia tries for the artsy picture, which her camera is not entirely capable of taking. Whoops.
ICE CREAM 8D
This was my first time having ice cream from the actual legit ice cream parlor on Main Street. I could not believe how ridiculously big a single scoop was. It was also ridiculously good.
...screw you, ice cream. :|
I seriously had Xion's luck Tuesday, I swear. It rained; every time I took my hood down, thinking it was done raining, it rained more; I clonked my head on the roof of the parking shuttle, which I never do; Snow White closed five minutes after we got in line for it; Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, which we went straight to right after Snow White closed, closed five minutes after we got in line for it; my ice cream dripped on my costume; and my cherry fell off. Of course, my reaction to "wow, that was unfortunate" tends to be to laugh my rear off, so those were really bumps in the road to what was really a great night.
SAD NOBODIES IN RAIN
Better than Sad Girls In Snow any day of the week
Seriously, we found a Roxas and he was an amazingly good sport. He was also really cute. *A* His name was Greg, and I really wish I'd gotten his last name or his phone number or something, because man. Yes please.
Talk about your Disney throwbacks. They were a ton of fun. :D
We found a Cinderella and a Lottie! They both recognized my costume and seemed pretty stoked. I was actually recognized by six or seven people total, which I figured was pretty good for a sparsely attended Tuesday night.
There was a Hades doing photo ops! He left while we were still in line (though he did draw a heart in the air and then point at me, so. Uh), so we didn't get pictures with him. We did, however, get pics with the next guy.
You had better believe I was extremely stoked about this. HELL YEAH JAFAR 8D
And that puts an end to our little picture odyssey. Honestly, I was having too much fun to pull out the camera (and subsequently give it to Lynx and beg for her to take a picture) too terribly often.
In other news, job interviews are still going and will deserve an entry of their own when I finally get around to it - maybe sometime tomorrow. For now, I need to get back into the swing of tagging and maybe actually get a consistent sleep schedule. That would be amazing.
