Wow I really don't update this journal as often as I should, huh. How about a week's worth of stuff in one entry? |D
First of all, Big/Little reveal was awesome. Just awesome. I absolutely love my twins.
Look at us in our sexy matching socks. :Db
That was how we had to do reveal, actually. We used to get a spool of string, tie one end to a tree, and wrap it all over the park and around things. They'd follow the string and come back to a bag of gifts with their name on it and their big waiting there. Evidently Pepperdine counts this as hazing (...um, okay) so we did matching socks and trivia instead. EITHER WAY. AWESOME LITTLES. Totally going to spoil them. It's family tradition. :Db
So far as Derby Days go, I did not get a derby. I am not surprised. I suppose you can call this a perfect streak. XD It also means I'm redoubling my efforts to get Dad's fedora.
Thursday was absolutely nuts, of course. Went down to the career fair, gave my resume to a bunch of companies who will probably never look at it again, and got a few brochures that interest me and a ton that don't. Bloomberg and Roll International (the guys that do Fiji water and POM) are the two that I've got my eye on here. Either way, I need to start looking into job websites again and make an appointment with my advisor to explore grad school options. Not my first choice, but with the economy the way it is... Ah, well, such is life. \O_o/
Then was the Lit Theory midterm, which I flipped out studying for the night before (to the tune of MY NOTES ARE INCOMPLETE DESPITE THE FACT I'VE BEEN TO EVERY CLASS AAAAAAAA). Believe it or not, the midterm wasn't too bad. I had all the theories down pat - it was matching theorists to theories that killed me. I'm hoping for a B, but we'll see.
My roomie and I went to see Guys and Dolls that night. I had forgotten just how much I loved that show until I went to see it again. The choreo was disappointingly simple, IMO, with the exception of the Crapshooter's Dance. Oh, the Crapshooter's Dance. I love that show so much X3 We'll probably go back to that theater for another show at some point, or we'll find other theaters. We've both missed live performance like you would not believe.
...I can honestly not remember what I did Friday. I'm sure class and anime club were involved somewhere, but that day just blurred, I think.
Yesterday I went with my twins and one of their roomies to Disneyland. When they called it the happiest place on Earth, they were not kidding. It looks awesome decked out for Halloween, and Haunted Mansion done Nightmare Before Christmas style was well worth seeing. I also discovered the hard way that one needs to arrive very early in the park to get fastpasses for Space Mountain, or one will be waiting for two hours otherwise to ride it. I'm sure the people in line around us were ready to kill the four of us by the time we got there, but we passed the time without going crazyier.
As you can see, totally worth it. My apologies to whoever was in the seat behind me - I did not mean for my expression of glee to cover your face. Hope you didn't want to buy that picture. |D I have also discovered that my twins are just as derptastic as I am, evinced by this:
"Hey, let's imitate the facial expressions!" "Sure!" Guys why do you go along with me I am a head case you all know this. Made a great picture, though. XD
I LEAVE YOU WITH THIS:
Nothing should be that cute, honestly. I ALSO HAVE VIDEO BECAUSE I AM A DERP:
