I feel like they've been improving like, one feature for their last two games. Sonic Unleashed's running stages were awesome but their gimmick stages sucked ass. Not to mention the shitty-as-fuck level system that I still hate. In this one, evidently the gimmick actually works. I'm giving Sonic Team a cautious "good job, guys". Of course I'll still rent it and play it. I sold my soul to Sega way back in the day.
I'd like to actually play it before making judgments of my own, but this review definitely makes me happy. It could well be Nintendo tooting its own horn, but at least there is hope.
If my brother honors his promise to come home for spring break, I should have the Wii by the time this comes out. I'll try to let you know how it is XD. Wait, when does this come out? The poor 360 is so neglected in my household...I've more or less abandoned it to clean up all my unfinished PS2 games. Which may take awhile, considering how horribly Re:CoM is kicking my ass right now.
I have no idea, actually. Can't find a release date.
Unless you count DDR, which I don't since I'm using it as an exercise program, with the exception of the short Rock Band competitions in the caf I have not played video games in months. Yeeeeeah no good.

I mean.
No matter how epic they make the setting, it's still a game about a blue hedgehog.

But, using that argument:
Kingdom Hearts is about a preteen using a giant key as a melee weapon to save the multiverse.
Zelda is about a time-traveling pointy-eared kid saving the princess of a land of faeries from what nearly always winds up being a giant evil pig.
Mario is about a plumber jumping on the head of a fire-breathing mutated turtle in order to save a princess who rules a kingdom of animate fungi.
In conclusion, game designers are all completely insane, but that doesn't make the games they create any less fun to play.
