Time for a little-known fact: I make purses. Specifically, I make purses out of jeans. Have you seen those little denim purses that are all the rage today? Yeah, I make those. Recently, I decided I'd make some this summer to sell, so I'm opening commissions.
But first, some pictures:
As a disclaimer, all of these pictures are of my own personal purse, which is over two years old and a tad beaten up because of it.
These are both pictures of the front of the purse. The ruler there is 12 inches long, to give you a relatively good idea of the size of this purse (made from Junior's size jeans).
A closer view of the front, though I'm not sure if it helps or not.
A view of the back (obviously).
A closer view of the "belt." The bow is secured with white stitching.
A closer view of the fringe. The longest string is about 1" long. In my experience, bead fringe tends to catch on things, but for being two years old it's held up remarkably well.
A closer view of the strap. The denim is doubled and sewn at the bottom (stitching on the inside) with the ribbon stitched on top.
The interior of the purse. There aren't any interior pockets, but the original front and back pockets from the jeans are still intact.
For those of you wondering what those black ribbons flopping around were, they're fasteners! Look at those cute little bows~ ♥
So are we interested yet? If so, here's a poll:

I WANT IT NOW
To let you know, the purse pictured above will be two years old in a couple of weeks, and it has only required a few small repairs:
~ There is a small hole in the back left pocket from when I used to keep a tube of chapstick in there
~ One of the ribbon fasteners was hand-sewn and needed to be reattached
~ One end of the strap was hand-sewn and needed reinforced stitching
Considering how badly I beat up my purses (and those of you who've seen my purses know I do), the fact that this purse has needed so little repair is quite the testament to its durability.
As a FYI, anonymous commenting is disabled on this post. If you are here from Facebook and do not have a LiveJournal account, please leave any and all comments on the Facebook entry.
Finally, please feel free to spread this post to all your friends. I'm not certain how popular this will be or what my work schedule will be like, so I might be limiting the number of commissions I take and I'm not accepting them yet. I'll let everybody know when I am.
Thanks, all!
