Here is how to make this wallpaper:
Textures/Stock:
Pic of DutchPic of Main cast of KilljoysKilljoys Screencap (Box)Abstract WingsMaskSteampunk ClockUnknown PNGJewelsBirdLanternLeafVineRed TextureLight Texture 1) Open up a 1920x1080 document. It doesn't matter the color of the background for it's going to be completely covered anyway.
2) Add in the pic of the Main cast of Killjoys. Place where you believe Dutch would be center, then duplicate the layer. Use Gaussian Blur at the highest setting on the duplicate. Add a layer mask and erase some of where Dutch should be.
3) Add the next pic of Dutch. Resize and completely cut out Dutch from the background. Add a layer mask, and with Rectangular Marquee Tool, erase the left half of this pic. Add a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer and clip it to the solo pic of Dutch. Settings: 111, 61. Now try to line up the two pics of Dutch as possible, and if needed, go back to the other pic and bring more of Dutch back to the front.
4) Make sure these next few steps fall in between the gaussian blur layer and the solo pic. Add the
Vine. Place more on the action side and erase whatever you don't like.
5) Add the
Jewels. Place at the top of the standing side but still behind the solo pic.
6) Add the
Mask. Place in between the solo pic and the jewels and rotate until it feels right. Erase anything that does not look right. Resize if needed.
7) Add the
Leaf. Place just under the mask and shoulder blade of Dutch. Resize if needed.
8) Add the
Abstract Wings. Duplicate. Put one on the action side, rotate, and erase whatever you don't like but try to make it look like she has wings. Take the other and do the same for the standing side.
9) Add the
Bird. Resize and flip horizontally. Place on the standing side right next to Dutch.
10) Add the
Steampunk Clock. Place underneath the Bird. Make sure that there is nothing seen on the other side of the standing Dutch.
11) Add the
Lantern in between the vine and action Dutch. Resize and leave as is.
12) Add the
Unknown PNG. Place at the bottom somewhat overlapping the bottom half of action Dutch.
13) Add the
Killjoys Screencap (Box). Cut out the box and resize it. Place it so that it overlaps the Unknown PNG.
14) Add your Text. I used Felix Titling at 125 pt. I just spelled her name downwards instead of straight across. I added Drop Shadow (All default) Outer Glow (All default) Bevel and Emboss (Pillow Emboss/Contour) Color Overlay (#340202 set to Soft Light) Gradient (Set to Soft Light with an angle of 180 degrees.) Fill opacity: 0%.
15) Add the
Red Texture. Resize to a much larger size and place at the bottom of the wallpaper. Set to Screen, 58% and erase whatever you don't like.
16) Add the
Light Texture. Resize to fit the wallpaper and set to Soft Light, 100%.
17) Make a stamp of what you have. Use Gaussian Blur, same as before, then set to Soft Light, 100%.
18) COLORING:
- Gradient Map: #a22f1a to #fbf49c. This gradient and the one from the gradient Fill (later) are from Anolinde @ Deviantart. Set this to Soft Light, 100%
- Gradient Map: #34333b to #ffffff. Set this to Soft Light, 100%.
- Gradient Fill: #620f07 to #829d68. Set this to Hard Light, 100%.
- Color Fill: #ffffff. Set to Soft Light, 50%.
19) Make a stamp and use Topaz Clean. Add a layer mask and with a brush opacity of 50%, erase the center of the wallpaper. Then make another stamp and sharpen it. Lower the opacity to 40%. If you are planning on using this in more things (Sigs, icons, facebook covers, etc) create another stamp.
20) Watermark your work, if you do, and you are done!
