The pain. He could feel it on his skin, growing stronger and stronger, hitting him strong enough to make him unable to breathe. Billy was gone and Teddy couldn’t help him…the cry died in is throat when he was forced to retreat…he left Billy alone…in the dark…on enemies’ hands.
He had also been left in the dark before, when Greg left him that nigh…he felt awful, like Greg had taken advantage of his feelings, of his loneliness, just to ask him to do things… things Teddy wouldn’t do…but Greg asked… and Greg was his only friend…
He promised himself he’d never act like Greg…he’d never leave a friend in the dark… and after all that he and Billy had gone through…he couldn’t help when Billy was arrested… imprisoned…he never thought he’d get interested in anyone else after Greg…and Billy appeared in his life…their first moments together and Teddy knew he had fallen in love with the dark-haired spell caster…h e was lost in his own heart… his eyes were on Billy…it took some time to learn how to deal with his feelings... and Billy accepted him…their hearts could be heard together, their hands touched each other… Teddy knew he wasn’t alone anymore…but now…all the doubts, all those overwhelming feelings from before came back… he was rendered unable to think of anything but Billy.

The anger he felt on that moment could not be put in words… when Capt. said “no” at his request to save Billy.

The picture was thrown against the door; the broken pieces of glass covered the doorway. Teddy was fighting against his own tears. He wanted to shout, he wanted to punch Capt.’s face until “let’s go save Wiccan” escaped through his hurt lips. “I’ll go get him by myself”
The door opened. Cage was looking at him. They weren’t friends… they barely knew each other to tell the truth… until some weeks before Cage as just a hero he had heard of… Jessica Jones’ boyfriend or something like that… an Avenger…
-Hulkling… you were too hard on Capt…
Teddy kept the angry look on his green form. Cage wasn’t surprised at it. He handed back the picture on the floor.
-You’re being too hard on yourself… and on others too…we all know Billy’s important for you and…
-You know nothing about me or about us! You don’t know how it hurts to fake a smile at school, or to tell your mother that everything is fine when your life was broken into small pieces…

Teddy couldn’t sleep that night. He knew he was going to help many… and Billy would still be in the Negative Zone…nightmares came to his mind whenever he dared to close his eyes.
Capt. was staring a blank monitor…he thought about everything and everyone… everything Hulkling had told him…he was not wrong at all. Bucky came to his min once again… children were always suffering in those senseless wars.
Billy was trying his best not to shout. His mouth was filled with blood…he didn’t know how much time he had spent on that cursed room…the air was filthy… the screams could make anyone go crazy in a few hours… but he knew he was going to make it...he knew that at any costs Teddy would save him…even alone if he had to…he’d just have to endure the pain for a little longer… and he knew how to do that…after Kessler, he could bear any pain… and only Teddy came to his mind once more when he saw Reed Richards opening his cell… the pain would start again…
Cage thought about Jessica… and their baby…she’d grow in this new world… when the boundaries between heroes and villains had been destroyed…if she had powers… would she register herself… Cage just nodded… with Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as parents… she’d be tough as nails since childhood… and Cage would be proud if someday she considered Joining the Young Avengers…
