On Mononoke and Ayakashi
I just went through a Mononoke marathon today. It was teh Awesome.
Once again, I blame Kiwi for piquing my interest with her fanarts, which resulted me in watching all of it in one sitting.
But you know it's good when picky ol' Keily watches it NON-STOP. XD So it's okay. It was very pretty (yet horribly grotesque--in a good way--at the same time) and reminded me of Gankutsuou in terms of animation. Without the various Photoshop layers that hurt the eyes sometimes. It's got quite the little premise and I wish it was longer, but it had to end sometime.
Kusu-riuri is so adorable. And pretty. And if it weren't for his scary teeth I'd fangirl him more. As such, I'll remain a good distance from him, because not only are his teeth deterring, but trouble seems to be wherever he is as well.
For some odd reason, I think of Amano when I look at Kusu-riuri's design though...
