Oh Torchwood, how I have missed thee!

First of all, Happy Birthday, gemstar69! I hope that you had a wonderful day *hugs*!

So Torchwood, loved it although that is a bit of a given with me *g*! But seriously what was not to like? There was hot men kissing within minutes of the show starting. James Marsters was fantastic as Captain John Hart. I was a bit disappointed when I heard he was going to play the part with an English accent but having seen it now, I think it was the right decision. Plus there is unrequited love for Jack from both Captain John and Gwen, although with Jack and Gwen I sense it might be a case of UST, and Captain John's goodbye kiss for Jack was heartbreaking. Jack asking Ianto out on a date *aww*! And so many great scenes, which now that I think about it all feature Captain John (I think it's safe to say that I really like him *g*), like Captain Jack and John arguing about who was the wife of their relationship. Captain John's reaction to Jack's group being named Torchwood. Captain John fancying a poodle. Captain John leaving a message on Jack's wrist strap and imitating the 'Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi' scene in Star Wars... the list is endless, I hope Captain John comes back soon ^_^! ETA: And who is Grey? Is s/he the adult or the child in Jack's flashback?

So all in all, a brilliant first episode, which definitely made up for my disappointment with the Doctor Who Christmas special. I mean it was fine, I just felt it lacked something... and don't say men kissing, hopefully I'm not that superficial in my viewing needs, LOL!

Talking of Doctor Who I've been watching old episodes with Tom Baker as the Doctor, who is the Doctor I grew up with and am very fond of, and they are brilliant! I mean the special effects leave a lot to be desired nowadays but I had forgotten just how good Tom Baker was as the Doctor, he really did make the part his own. Also I can still see why I found them so scary ^^;!

lj friends, doctor who, torchwood
