I've never been much for Madonna one way or another, but I dare say this makes me a mild fan at least somewhat after seeing this. I finished reading Death Note this weekend and watching the second movie (and fell asleep watching it and thus had very odd Death Note eccentric dreams). I was reading about Mello on a Death Note website and came across this.

For those of you who don't know what Mello looks like:
I read the comments down below and wondered and mused behind the truth of this, and remembered the thing on DeathGod.org. Immediately I headed towards Wikipedia since Wikipedia is always reliable. Then I stumbled across the small note here: "Madonna's look in the video appears to be an homage to the Japanese manga Death Note character Mello. The manga is published by Shueisha." How totally awesome is that? XD And honestly, I wonder if she decided to use that video, not only because she filmed it in Japan, but because there's just small portions that do sound like Mello.
Though of course, now I can't get the image of Mello dancing like Madonna out of my head. Which maybe is somewhat pseudocanon. Not to mention I saw an icon that had him and said "sexy bitch" on it. I somewhat wonder what he did in the time they don't show you in the manga from when he left Wammy's house. He associated with mobsters and such and there's part of me that suspects a relationship with Hal, one of the members of SPK. Something I may definitely have to ponder over.
[EDIT]Someone asked if I was going to do an L fanmix . . . but I'm very tempted to do a Mello one. It's easy to match songs to him actually, because his emotions get the better of him and he's rather angsty. Not that I don't love L, I do muchly, but it's hard to find songs for him, or rather, I'd be repeating a lot of songs from the Death Note fanmix.[/EDIT]
