In the Aftermath

I'm not sure why, but it still baffles me that humanity in general can continue on with its daily life even after their world leader has just been assasinated in a violent, bloody mess right in front of them by something that was clearly inhuman. Its as though the entire city has been brainwashed, although for that to happen I assume the general public would need some strain of intelligence in the first place.

Unfortunately, this new-found will to go along with every coverup the government and police forces throw their way is making it more difficult for me to get any information. Whatever it was that attacked the president was certainly powerful enough to warrent my interest and I have certain... ulterior motives for looking into this.

Something is wrong. I should have healed long before now and yet the injuries are still there. It's almost as though there is another force at work which is somehow limiting my healing abilities. I despise sitting around like a pathetic invalid waiting for old war wounds to heal, particularly when they are over two weeks old.

Perhaps it has something to do with that rain that changed my powers over a month ago, but why would it begin to affect my healing abilities now? I imagine that if it was down to the rain, it would have been hindered when my sensory powers improved.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with that blasted Ryoko girl. A child wouldn't have the power to limit mine in such a manner and although I doubt she was human, I didn't sense anything particularly powerful about her to begin with.

This is most inconvenient. Not only that, but Dante has insisted on playing 'Doctors and Nurses', he's treating me like I really am an invalid...
