There was one time he asked Pi to go drink together was just after Code Blue 1 was done filming, and they talked about acting..
The place they were in played some Western music that isn't usually played in Japan, and Pi asked the waiter, it's this this song right? And the waiter said ( Read more... )

I agree with you that there's never been a precedence for Johnny to "break up" his units. I'm sure johnny will never allow that to 'officially' happen. Instead, he'll allow the members to do more and more of their own solo/duo projects and then fewer and fewer full group gigs. I'm not surprised at this turn of events at all. When I visited the johnny store last week, there were NO NEWS and KATTUN group-related items for sale. (No photo and ticket albums, no light up things, no uchiwas. No NEWS group photos...only their individual calendar shots, tegomassu pics, Pi's SBS pics.) The units the shop was definitely pushing was Arashi, HSJ, and NYC.

There were times when people left voluntarily, like in SMAP and 9 people NEWS... And there are solo activities in almost all the bands. But Jin is not leaving KATTUN, yet he's missing their first Asia tour! I find that incomprehensible, I don't see how that can benefit any of them. It's true that Johnny's marketing approach seems to focus more on individual work these days, and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, I always saw the group work as a kind of safety net for everyone, it's such an unpredictable industry and there's no guarantee anyone will stay popular forever...
