Ashita no Joe recruiting extras!

200, 300, or 700 extras are requested on the various days from April 17th to May 4th.
Guys and girls over high school age can participate.
Groups and people coming multiple times are very welcome.
They are hoping for lots of guys to volunteer.. XD
The funniest thing is that it said, since this is set in the 1940s, people with gold/dyed hair are not ( Read more... )

Application Process:
Step 1: Enter the necessary/important information into the application form at the site and register.
Step 2: When registration is completed, an email of confirmation will be sent to you.
Step 3: Details of the decision regarding location, time, dress code, and what to bring will be communicated to you by mail.

I didn't see anything that specified it wasn't, but it seems unlikely that they'll allow that...?

The rest of it just mentioned stuff like, you won't be compensated for travel expenses etc, but you'll get souvenirs.. High school students can go if they have a guardian with them... No spoilers.. No cameras/video cameras, no asking for autographs or to shake hands, the usual.

You know, I'm really surprised they're going to keep this story in the 1940's and not update it to a present day framework. It'll be interesting to see how this movie comes off...it now requires vintage settings and costuming. Changes my entire expectations of how I envisioned the movie to be. Hmmm...Pi as a 1940's character. Should be interesting.

Really? It never occurred to me they'd change it to present day.. This manga is such a classic, I really think they should change as little as humanly possible. The vintage setting sounds awesome, I'm really looking forward to it. XDDD
