Yamapi on Waratte Iitomo told this story:
Ito Hideaki in particular looks after me. The other day he invited me to his house because there was a fireworks event on. (At his house? Fireworks at his house?) You could see them from his house...(Ah! The Tokyo Bay fireworks were on Saturday.)... It surprised me! I couldn't believe how great the fireworks were! ...He even prepared some goldfish so I could scoop up the goldfish like you do at summer festivals. He was like, "Scoop some!" (excerpts from newshfan's subbed video)
On August 10th, Rina (Pi's sister) blogged about going to "a friend's house" to watch the fireworks at Odaiba (overlooking Tokyo Bay). She too mentioned goldfish! Sounds like the same party to me. Is this what Pi saw??
