It's been almost a month, no? Sorry for disappearing like so. m(_ _)m
Just a quick drama talk...on some of the dramas I picked up during May/June. Haven't finished them yet of course, only watched a few eps of each.
Catch Me Now - HK Drama (TVB Series)
- AWESOME. XD I totally got into it within the first episode (More like within 10-15 minutes of the first ep). It'll take about a month to finish this up though. =\ I so wanna finish up this series soon.
- Cops and robbers, but not really the typical type of robber... gotta love how each team member brings something to the group.
- I was really iffy about the casting of Fala Chen, but it turns out her character was quite alright. I'm glad they decided to make them already married in the series instead of creating a love plot for them (Fala/Joe). *thumbs up*
- IDY CHAN!! Uwaaa I miss her. :)
Fated to Love You -- TW Drama
- You know a drama is good/worth watching when you can watch ep after ep without getting bored (much), lol. I was honestly surprised by the ratings! SO HIGH? I mean it was definitely great, but I didn't expect the ratings to be that high. (^^;)
- This is probably the first (TW?) drama that I haven't developed any mutual(?) feelings for the main male character (not the ACTOR, the character). Ethan's character...even up to ep11 makes me >__< at some of his actions and words. Probably not my type of prince...lol.
- BTW, Baron Chen is pretty cute, LOL. At some angles, he reminded me of Wallace Huo (it's probably due to his hair).
Gokusen 3 - J Drama
- Ahh as I thought, cannot abandon Gokusen. They can make a 4th & 5th season and I'd still support it. I just adore Yankumi, lol. But the script for season 3 somehow really reminded me of season 2...just some storylines with the students. =\\ I was really hoping for some different plots for each students, but some just felt a bit repetitive to the first 2 seasons. Is it just me? ^^;
- You know it's not good if you start thinking these younger guys are cute, LOL. I enjoyed watching Miura Haruma in here more than I did of him in 14SnH.
- Takaki Yuya...quite a few times he reminded me of Bakanishi's character in season 2 (the hair probably? Haha), with some of the expressions that he does. A bit exaggerated, but quite cute, LOL.
Iljimae - K Drama
- SLDKFJSDFLKJ LEE JUN KI. IMU? What I was nervous about were the ratings for this drama (since the storyline is somewhat like Hong Gil Dong), but it seems like it's pretty good, no? I'm not too familiar with how Kdrama ratings work (as in what's considered high. Jdrama >> 20+, HKdrama >> 30+, TWdrama >> 3+?).
- Though I do agree with the ratings. The first ep was good, but wasn't that attention grabbing (other than the beginning? lol), but the second ep was definitely better! Iljimae/Geom's childhood was touching, and then the grown up Geom was...very interesting, LOL. So far so good!
Last Friends - J Drama
- UWAAAA this drama really surprised me. I didn't think I'd enjoy this drama (iya...more like intrigue, not necessarily enjoy), but I was wrong. Really intriguing and interesting. I don't think I've seen a jdrama that has touched on some of these subjects before.
- RYO-CHAN!! LOL. Each of their characters really surprised me, I didn't expect that at all (judging from the title). Now I'm a bit scared of Ryota yo...because he plays the part quite well. *scared* Ha ha ha, no jk.
- JURI / MASAMI! Oh oh I love the opening credits (+ themesong), the part with these two: SO LOVELY.
I also wanna try watching Zettai Kareshi afterwards, too. It looks good. ^^
Other (older dramas)
Bara no nai Hanaya - J Drama
- There's something about Bara no nai Hanaya that really captures your attention..no wonder the ratings were good.
My gosh Katori Shingo's character... so soft-hearted, and fatherly. SO gentle that I honestly wonder if there exists such a man in this world, lol.
- And I must say...I think it was my first time seeing him (act), and this character of his is so not appealing at first sight, but goodness I cannot deny this man's gorgeousness. Tamayama Tetsuji is incredibly attractive, ah ha ha. His eyes are very attractive.
- Bara no nai Hanaya was a very great drama. They covered all kinds of love in here. Also, a good life lesson drama, too. I really enjoyed it.
Iryu Team Medical Dragon - J Drama
- I am so slow in watching this. Amber
godsgirl7 recommended me this drama a year back I think..? But I only recently finished it. ^^; Aah I'm glad I remembered about it and picked it up again! Watched the first ep a while ago, but didn't get a chance to continue it.
- Great drama! Better than I had expected at least. I didn't think I'd become so "OMG!" over it, but it was quite mind blowing...some of the operations and stuff done. I was like gawking at the stuff they were talking about in the drama, and understood probably not even half of it but it still so intriguing, LOL.
- Teppei is cute yo, ahaha, but his character can tick you off sometimes, LOL.
Code Blue...Pipi's new dorama~!!!! ♥ I'm anticipating it, and really hoping it'll do well (definitely hoping it won't be something like Always Ready (TVB series...very uninteresting series D;)).
Guwaaaa tell me there'll be a love triangle between Yui-Pipi-Erika?? ^^ It'd definitely be more interesting~~ I am totally interested in seeing Pipi in a love triangle, hahaha.
