2009.08.05: "Tegomasu 1st Live: Tegomasu no Uta" at YOYOGI GYM - TOKYO (14:00)

I can’t even find words for it! It was far beyond my imagination
and far more than A~M~A~Z~I~N~G~!! Unbelievable!
I mean seriously it was the best concert ever!
And if I say that, u better believe me ^-^
This will be a bit more than just a report of the show so please bear with me if you are interested in details… I hope I can give as many as possible. Please also bear with me regarding my undying love for テゴ ! LOL [no dissing……! ^-^]
So here I go….
I waited at Harajuku station for about an hour, had a coffee drink and two onigiri… MANY MANY TEGOMASS fans passed by… Oh there were SO MANY Fanmom’s? Wearing RUSS-K Tshirts!
Mostly I noticed Koyama’s and Tegoshi’s >.< actually I counted, and there were at least 30 kids and mom’s with Tegoshi’s white shirt, you know the one I WANT ->
No wonders why it’s sold out everywhere >.<
There was even a guy with Tesshi’s pink one ^^
Also you can say half the fanbase wore Yukata or cosplay but mostly ‘cute girl’ cosplay not so much shrill outfits. Many wore same Yukata as Tego and Massu ! one Mom wore a red one like Tesshi and her little son (I believe it was a boy xD) wore a Massu style Yukata! OMGT they were so ADORABLE !
There were many mom’s! so many… and oh one mom was cool, her little boy (maybe 3 years old) carried around TESSHI’s Uchiwa! LOL I wanted to take them both home! [the boy and the uchiwa] LOL so cute….it was the only kid she had, so she must be a fan XD Hm yeh like I said I also saw some fanboys ^^ All in all there were so many people ! I don’t think there were more than 10 tickets that hasn’t been sold. I can’t believe how MANY people actually came… it’s amazing for a TWO PEOPLE show! Especially on their first live ever ^^ or maybe it’s just be but really I’m impressed and happy for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, then I met Nina and her friend at the station and we got to the GYM at around 1.30, got in without waiting or any difficulties ^^
Inside there was a big something… which we could take pictures of .. so I did xD
Not sure what it is but oh well it was at the Tegomass concert, it said Tegomass concert and now it will be remembered forever as part of the Tegomass concert xD

Well I don’t know where I should start.
For me personally it was much better than the NEWS concerts. Of course I haven’t been to a real one and this might be just why I think so. It’s not only because this show had so much Tegoshi in it, but also because it was more like a 'normal' concert and not like a JE boy bands concert where they focus on the dancing. Tegomasu focus on the singing and I personally LOVE when a wonderful song is perfectly sung with an angelic voice xD OK now I sound Tegoshi biased again. Sorry, I mean Tegomasu is special, they both have amazing voices and they complement each other so much!
Two so different types of people and voices harmonize so well and make such amazing songs and create an unbelievable brilliant atmosphere. Yes that’s it, the atmosphere was like two friends, professionally gave an amazing live! They have both grew up a lot but still remained fresh and entertaining!
Also remarkable was the background lightings and effects! They seemed quite simple but AMAZING!
Really BEAUTIFUL! They did not only show simple pictures of dull videos but mostly sparkly hearts or circles and a special theme, fitting to each of the songs.
Also the effects and video parts filled out THE WHOLE back of the stage and not only the middle part like a TV screen. It was lovely, really. The light effects created a transition to the fan’s light sticks which made the whole arena look like a sea of lights! From where I sat I had a clear and perfect overview of the whole arena and a really nice view to all 5 stages!!! My seat was located quite in the middle on the 1st floor. Since Tesshi and Massu both were up in the air, very high, a lot of times I had a very good view from my seat ^^ I bet it was better than on the ground floor at least then.
Hm so all in all I think it was the most amazing atmosphere of a concert I have been too and I went to many many different types of concerts around Europe and the US. Also the Japanese fans are so different, calm and so well organized ^^ the bands of course are very different as u know they spent like 30 minutes thanking everyone for coming and buying their records ^.~ quite sweet but something u don’t get from most western bands I think. They sometimes just do their thing and leave without a big thank you. I experienced that too.
Quickly back to my JE boy band concerts thing… I don’t mean to sound like I don’t like NEWS anymore! I know NEWS is NEWS and TM is TM and JE just does what JE does so I like that too but...if you can’t imagine what Tegomass’ show now is…well please don’t judge until you haven’t seen it with your own eyes ^.~
It was nothing like some of these old JE LIKE performances! No please it was nothing like anything close to it! This old performance of marui chikara is CUTENESS PURE but Tegomass has grown up so much!
Here are so many juniors they just totally irritate! Tegomass songs don’t need dancing at all actually.
I am happy they stuck with their wish and turned the idea of a real, different concert into reality!
Once u will be able to see it, I believe you will happily agree that this was something amazing!
Of course Tegomass were their usual selves, happy & energetic.
Very comfortable & confident and always in synch with their actions.
They looked out for each other and knew what was going on.
They really had a lot of fun! [but not as much as I had xD ]
The CM was very smooth I think and even if they were nervous the first time I don’t think they really were today, even though it will be on DVD (!?)
Sadly I did not understand much, therefore I cannot give you a translation for it ;_;
Honto ni gomen nasai for everyone who was looking forward to it.
All I can give you is a summary of what it felt to be part of such an amazing event! Especially coming such a long way to at least once be close to the person’s you adore and the music you enjoy most. Sorry for getting so emotional on everything, You better stop now if you want a clear, non-emotional report >.<

Waii ~ It was really something special and I will never forget it >.<
Now, there was not a lot time we had to wait! ^^ usually at concerts I wait around another 2 hours until the band begins >.<
Before the show began (on time), they suddenly dimmed the lights and started playing a video on all three video screens. TEGOMASS in SWEDEN! So cute ^-^ they reviewed all singles Tegomass released with some live examples (performances) just a bit not the whole songs.
A moment later after the video ended you could hear them start singing Miso Soup (acapella before it turned into the full, real song) ^_^
A wonderful moment ^^
To hear their real voices… singing a song with such a “long” and interesting history was amazing, I mean it basically was the beginning of everything and now hearing it with your own ears, coming from a “different world”..Well it just felt incredible.
Without much interruption they made a transition to Marui Chikara!
I always loved that song ! ~ Saikin genki janai ...Sonna koto iwazu ni Maruku na rou yo..
Hearing Tegoshi sing these lines made me the happiest person that moment >.< I never thought I could witness such thing! <3
They performed the whole song, smiling and twirling around on the upper main stage. At least you can say it was right hand from where I sat. My side was left to where Massu stood. Mostly they were positioned like that -> Tego - Massu ^.~ except for the middle stage, there they switched often, also if I remember correctly on the third mainstage they also switched and Tego was on my side (right).
I’m not sure if this song was the one with the pink and red glitter hearts on the screen ?!
with lots of sparkles and they twirled around in 3-D style. Very very lovely done! Something similar to this
...or if it was for Bokura no Uta if they sang it, really I am not sure if they did >.<
I did an audio recording but it's so crappy that it gave me a head ache just now. I listened to it in order to make out the set list. but some parts I can hardly recognize LOL such a pain, i wish it would have worked out. Well therer fore I can not recall during what song but very close to the beginning they were hyper sliding along from one side to the other on the middle stage and once massu totally slipped, landed on his back, making it hard for Tegoshi not to laugh, they both kinda messed up a few seconds until Tegoshi helped Massu back up ! SO CUTE !!! haha ~
Then they said hi and did their introduction ~the well known (new) Tegomasu desu with hand signy XD and each said Tegoshi desu, Masuda desu as well ^^
.. then they began Tanabata Matsuri.
It was the first song and only song where they played the whole PV in the background! I was impressed on how in synch they were with the video! It looked very professional, they were not even a second off ^^ (if it wasn’t manipulated LOL )
Then they sang Hanamuke. Oh my the video in the back was amazing and gave me such a funny feeling. They played scenes from a church, outside and a candle. Then as the song went on u could see the colorful windows of the church from the inside and by the end u could understand it was a wedding scene. A bride, from a few angles and in the end you could see only the hands of the bride, as she gets the ring put on her finger. It went so well with the song and gave it a new feeling.
Their voices were amazing!!!!
So harmonizing and well clearly sung, with a lot of power. It’s not one of my favorite songs but live it is amazing!!!!
Next was Ame Nochi Hare! (one of my total favorites!)
I believe this was the part where they went on to the swings and were pulled across half the arena into the middle stage. It was a cute thing to watch, both waving and singing in perfect harmony ^^ both had one hand in a sling (loop?) and a few times Tesshi was holding the mic with his loose hand, singing but still waving his other hand like mad (the one on the sling) XD
As they got off Tegoshi started the next song with a lovely energetic ONE TWO THREE and a loud SCREAAM ^____^ kya.. [he actually did it three times during the show! ^^ but i dont remember where the 3rd one was >.<]
This song was POWER OF EARTH, it was very up-beat and they danced very unique and funky =P like not really dance but rather jumped and twirled around. The screen showed a lot of nature scenes, parks and forest and flowers .. etc. again a song I like but not one of my top favs, live though amazing >.<
Tegoshi finished off with a WHOOOA~ and they talked a little bit about the show today ^^
And did the acoustic, I believe they said something like they liked doing acoustic =P Massu wiped his face with a TEGOMASSU towel before they sang Kushami with 2 guitarists sitting on stools, all facing each other. It was a quite intimidate atmosphere ^-^
Again I am sounding biased but the only thing that makes me love that song is Tesshi’s parts >.< the 37 x Love is a bit too much but really Tesshi’s voice just makes it amazing >.< sorry if you don’t agree but that acoustic was so full of power and the 37xLove were much more soft and not like on the CD
Next was my fav. Sayonara Boku no Machi!
WOW I loved it. Acoustic, just them and the guitar sound was amazing. Yes I know I say that about every song ^^ Really I loved this bit so much!! "Hora naku na furikaette cha dame da" Kitto kimi nara konna fuu ni okoru kana ..~
They both have such strong voices thorough the whole show!
And Oh my.. Tesshi ended the song with an incredible twist >.< I can’t describe cause it sounds baka anyways but he was like playing with the one quitarist who did also a nice twist on the ending ^^
