CHRISTMAS SHOPPING MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED.

Dec 22, 2004 17:55

Well, yesterday, since we didn't get a chance over the weekend, we went to the bank and I deposited some moneys we got... and then we went to the mall to do our Christmas shopping for the Pina family.

We started off by buying a Red Sox shirt for Nate's father's friend, Ziggy... and then went and I bought Children of Dune for me... and then we got money from the ATM for food! And so we got chicken teriyaki meals from Sakkio Japan... and ate. And then we went to some Tribal store and looked around until we found a nice little 'weeping man' carving to buy for Nate's aunt Wendy. She likes abstract wood carvings and exotic stuff like that, so it was a good pick.

We then went to Yankee Candle and picked out a nice pear scented jar candle for Nate's other aunt, Cheryl.

And then we went to Sears, where I checked out the mini fridge I want for christmas... and then we go to JC Penny instead to get something for Nate's paternal grandmother and grandfather.

Since they just got their kitchen remodeled, and Joan is a good cook, we got her a nice little metal trivet for her countertop... and got Pops (Nate's grandfather) a little mini tool set for camping and outdoorsy stuff. He's into that kinda thing.

So... once we were done with that, we left the mall and went to the bank again so I could take out 10 dollars for Nate to use as gas money, we refilled his gas tank and went to the local pharmacy for small essentials.
Then we went home, Nate hung out with Mrs. Poulin (she was over to tutor Joshua), got a gift from her (a cool little battery-powered mixer for drinks and smoothies), and I went downstairs.

I eventually began to suffer from a horrible migraine and went to lay down. I ended up sleeping until almost three in the morning, when I woke up and told Nate it was time to go to bed. So, we both went to sleep. I wasn't even able to wake Hannah up and get her off to school because my headache didn't subside until around 10 am. x_x

Headaches suck.
