I painted a picture for someone. I saved it. I saved it throughout the effort of making it because painter 8 would keep shutting down on me unexpectedly. After saving and closing, I realized that I hadn't saved a jpg version of the image. I reopened painter 8 to find one of the most important layers gone. What's most confusing is how when I select the file to be opened, in the preview box it shows what the picture is SUPPOSED to look like. Opening the file, that layer which colors the main figure is just GONE. I have no fucking idea how to get that layer back, or why that preview picture is still accurate. If anyone can help me, please tell me what I can do. I spent three hours on this... I wanted to give it to the person right away.
