oh i forgot to mention that i'm going with my parents to see my uncle (8hr car ride) tomorrow/Friday morning and won't be back until Sunday night. it's the first time i'm seeing him since my nan died a couple of years ago, and he's my favourite relative so i'm pretty excited. anyway, i don't think he has the internet so i'm taking heaps of books. i

Eight hour ride, eh? Ouch. Make sure your mp3 is at full capacity. Can you read in the car? I can't even sit in the backseat without getting queasy. Yah. lol. I think I'm spoiled from being a regular driver -- I can't handle being in the back now. :p

I think it's awesome. I love car trips! I love riding in car, especially if I don't need to drive (seeing as I don't have a license it's best if I dont...). I'm DJ and I make the sandwiches, andandand.
It's the act of going somewhere and in a personalised transportation that does it for me. We use public transport in like 99.9% of the time and then wham! In a CAR! WOooooOo, PARTY!

it's not that i dislike them, really! just that 8hrs can be a bit too much with my family trapped in there like that. (we're likely to combust.) but luckily it went well, most likely because 1) i had my iPod and just ignored everyone, 2) my brother wasn't there to rile up my dad and make things worse and there was more room because of a lack of him.

IT WAS GOOOOOD. will update a bit about it later (i am tackling my room right now, dusting it after about 6mths of... not dusting it) but it'll pretty much just say how i had fun, and relaxed. i should get away like that more often. :3

It's also a bit because I don't live in a country that large. I drive through mine in 4h diagonally (so the longest bit). I travel diagonally through my country at least 3 times in a month, back and forth. I like travelling, so I don't mind.

A car ride for two hours is not that much fun. Basically because I can do it too! We were in Canada once, and I was so thrilled to (be) drive(n) around for HOURS on end without reaching a border!
