Yamada glances up at the ceiling. This is what he’s been going for over an hour. Truth is, he’s supposed to be doing homework but cannot get himself to do it.
“Uwa~! So bored!” Yamada complained in a childish whiny voice.
This was 15-year-old Yamada Ryosuke. You could say he was kind of a procrastinator - okay! He was the BIGGESTprocrastinator in his whole school. He had a very cute face but very last personality.
“Ryosuke!” Yamada’s mother shouted out from downstairs, “are you doing your homework?!”
“YES I AM~!” Ryosuke rebuked in a suspicious manner.
“I know you’re not so you better get working. It’s already 9:30!” his mother exclaimed now in his room to prove her point.
“FINE! I’ll get started!” Yamada scurried to get out his kanji work.
Yama-chan’s mom finally left him and he threw his notebook down.
“I don’t want to do homework~!” he resumed his whining and whipped out his cell phone.
He scrolled through all his contacts. Finally he got to his best friend’s number - Nakajima Yuto. Nakajima was a very smart person. He got all A’s and there was not a single lazy bone in his body. He was practically the total opposite of Ryosuke.
“Hai~?!” Yuto finally answered his phone after it rang 5 times.
“Hello, Yuto. I’m bored.” Yama-chan was whining now to his friend. The latter thought it was actually a pig that answered and not his friend.
“Yama-chan? Let me guess, not doing your homework again? You really need to stop that!” Yuto replied scolding him as if he was his mother.
“I will, I will!” Ryosuke retorted like a temperamental child.
“Good. I am going to hang up now so you get started. Jaa~!” Nakajima explained in a rush.
“Jaa~.” Ryosuke replied tiredly.
Yamada finally decided to pick up his discarded notebook on the ground and started to work on it.
Ryosuke’s mom watched him discreetly at his doorway.
“He’s lucky to have a good friend to set him on his feet.” His mom thought proudly.
**THE END~!**
