More updates from the land of a thousend lakes
Hey everyone!
Things in finland today have calmed down a bit,
I woke up at 12 PM, after going to sleep 12 hours before that and made myself(Juha wouldn't take anything except coffee, weirdo.) some nice bacon and eggs. Came out pretty good for a the first bacon and eggs i've ever made.
I've been eating like a pig ever since i left israel, i'm guessing it a way of dealing with all the mixed feeling i have, being away and all at this time. I AM enjoying myself, don't get me wrong! It's just kind of odd... being away at this time... Oh well ^^ a few extra kilo's never hurt anyone!
i just moved to the laptop keyboard cause juha's watching TV and it's a more silent keyboard ^^
After that delicous breakfest me and Juha spent 4 hours watching monty python and the holy grail and all the extras.
At around 4:30 i went to the shower(they have a sauna INSIDE the shower! it's like a seperate room inside the room! how cool is that?!?) and then Urmas, my roomate from Estonia, came, I show him around the caravan(Took me FOREVER! XD) and then after i rested for a while Sirkka suggested that go for a little walk in the forest! I Jumped on the offer and went with her for a Nice walk, as we were walking out, she took some weird sticks, which are used for " Nordic Walking" apperantly it's big in finland...
We went outside and 20 meters away, BOOM, we were in a forest, and a thick one at that!
The entire area is built so that forest is everyone, someone told me that finland is one big forest. Well it sure looked like that from the plane!
After a while we came a big road which kind of reminded me the tractor roads we have down near tivon, and also a patch of short bushes which were kind of like the crop fields, so it really does look like israel, only COMPLETELY different. And gradually getting ever more excited to meet the rest of the people from around europe that are coming over, and seein even more of finland, i mean, i've only been to such a small place, and already it's so awsome, i just can't wait to see more!
anyway, it was getting "late", it was 20:30 and dinner was probably already ready, so i started to head back, on the way i couldn't overlook the beauty of the nature there, so i took some pictures of the flowers(guess i took that one from dad >_<) and that when i realized that in order to get the pictures in the composition i wanted, i need a much better camera, so forgive me for the pictures being kind of crappy...
After returning and finding out that i was'nt the only one not at home in time for dinner, I sat down with Juha and Sirkka for dinner.
After dinner i went and added all the addresses i got from people to my contact list(Dad, i'm sorry, but i think the phone bill's gonna be nice, I am going to cut down on SMSing from now on, so if i don't reply, it's not personal)
Afterwards i sat down with Pekka and Urmas and showed them around israel via the photobook mom and i bought them, they were really interseted with the fact that israel has so many different climate and ruins in such a small strand of land.
Well, it's getting late(So easy to lose track of time here, since the sky's almost never dark... It's 1 AM right now and the sky's still in Twilight... so beautiful, i really don't think 2 weeks here will be enough for me ^^) and the letter's getting way too long, iäm guessing it's so long cause it feels good writing home...
It also feels good getting mail from home! so don't be afraid to mail me! I CAN read hebrew so don't worry about that.
Anyway, I'm off to bed, enjoy the pictures!
