and is now in need of a huge long talking with someone.
In other news, I might now be dating someone. Kind of. Don't think so, but idea was brought up A LOT during time together. Course so were other ideas that did not happen. Will know by the 28th. I feel weird.
............Oh dear...........
In better news and news that CAN be public notice, Jane and Tommy got married this weekend in an absolutely beautiful but I'm guessing insanely expensive affair. Had the rehearsal on Friday. Oosh, that was interesting. Nothing went wrong but attitudes of some (on both sides) involved were...involved. Pleasant. Yipes. Had the rehearsal dinner down at Sunnyside. Delicious and had a great time playing some weird combination of golf, badmitton, and croquet with Allison. Weird but hilarious. Puget Sound and Olympics beyond looked lovely and had a good time talking with Jimmy about cameras and the like. Delightful prelude day to the
BIG DAY...
Got to the church at (wait for it) 11am...for a 5pm wedding. That's right. 6 hours early. It was a blast. Jane (bride) did my hair, we had spaztic last minute runs to places, bride was nervous but refused to admit it although temperment gave it away. :) Haha. Best group of bridesmaids, really. All the girls were really sweet and Laura was hilarious so she kept us all laughing as we broiled away in our dresses. Speaking of which, gowns were lovely. The pastel minty green looked good against my tan. Or really, my ORANGE
skin. That's right. I was orange. Thankfully only the parts that could be covered were orange. My back and shoulders and arms looked tan. My legs and oh the feet were...intriguing. Definitely should NOT have listened to Kelly at tanning place and should have stuck with a level 1 tan instead of level 2. "It'll look natural. I promise." Natural for a naval orange, perhaps.
Ted Hutchinson sang and WOWEE he has a lovely voice. If you put your hand on his chest while he talks you can feel it rumble. Now imagine in song. YEeesh. Everything went very well and the band was great to dance to, minus the big pauses in between each song. Crystal (jerk :) ) refused to dance with me, however Jimmy and Luc and Phillip and Dawn and Michael made good partners, as did Mr. Evanson but I'm afraid that man was years ahead of me in the smoothness category. Got the band to play James Brown which was great. Phillip and I kept singing "3 TIMES A LADY" but as that was all I knew of the song, that's all I sang. Matt (who I definitely called Mike all through the reception and then Matt Anderson more than once later on. Now just referred to at Matt or, if being retarded, we're "Ms. Marsh" and "Mr. 'insert last name here'") kept laughing at me but I noticed he didn't dance at all. Well, until later.
After reception headed over to Amy's then out again then back to Amy's for a shower before church. (Sidenote: very little sleep was had Friday night. No sleep at all was had Saturday night. I was the pianist at church Sunday morning. Oof.) After church headed up to Mt. Rainier for a steam locomotive engine ride and then a picnic dinner and walk around Reflection Lake for Goosie's birthday. It was gorgeous up there and there are these gray jays that will come and sit on your hand and eat food out of it. Although they're also kind of creepy cause they stole the bones left from our barbeque wings. Sick cannibals. Oh, but so pretty and the mountain looked lovely. I had forgotten how much snow has melted off it by this time of the summer. Hopefully those pictures turn out. Got home around 10pm and fell right asleep not to awake until it was time to leave for work where I now sit, having completely all of my tasks FOR THE DAY and now have NOTHING TO DO. Ahhhh, the life of a summer fill-in janitor. And my guilt level, already up there, mounts. In light of having nothing to do, however, and being extremely tired still it's off to napping I go, hopefully to sleep away the stiffness in a neck put through many the awkward position over the weekend. Goodnight, friends and readers.
Oh, Peter, I need your new phone number. And Crystal/April, I need your opinion on something. So yeah...I'm out.
