Our Legislature took everyone by surprise by approving a civil union bill right before it closed session. Everyone thought they were too scared to put the bill up for a vote in an election year but they snuck it in there. No one knows whether our Republican Governor will sign it as she's never indicated her position on it. I bet her email server and fax machine is going to break from everyone wanting to voice their opinion. Some people are very pleased and some people not so much. Heh.
