so long sweet summer...
so the last couple of days have been pretty hectic as i ummm...sort of mixed up my orientation dates. i could have sworn that i was supposed to go from the 27th to the 29th but apparently i was very much mistaken judging from the phone call i got on wednesday morning asking me where i was and whether or not i intended to pay the $50 cancellation fee. my dad sped home from work and practically flew me down to oookla where i was known as "the girl who came late" by my orientation group. orientation was fun though minus one of my weird roommates (fendy wang...yeah thats right, not wendy fang...fendy wang...a possum stole her shoe or something so she told me) the scary carpe noctem scavenger hunt(running around campus at 1 in the morning w/ people in black hiding and jumping out at you or in my case throwing buckets of water on you...while youre wearing a white tank top...and its cold out...NOT COOL) and the fact that since i was in the last orientation session that there were practically no classes left. oh yeah--the fact that i was late and missed most of the events on the first day was pretty crappy too.
let's see...got home from orientation last night and went to go see tacit. that was the original intention but thanks to the thousands of screaming little twelve year olds (hahaha lan--CRYSTAL WE NEED TO FIND DAVID!!!) and the ineffectiveness of the ice station to accomplish any type of organization or structure that didn't quite happen. so we went to wendys and hung out in their parking lot for a very long time. we probably looked really strange as there was lots of kicking and kneeing going on (which resulted in some bruising *AHEM FORTNER*).
had to say good bye to people too. scottie and kaeley are off to san diego where mindy already is...*sniffle* and robbie set off for lmu this morning. SOOOOO SADDDDDD! so here are my little acknowledgements for those who left...well for two of those who left who actually read this...
MY SHMINDY: wow. i am so sorry for first of all not being able to say good bye to you and for secondly calling you and interrupting your lunch in a very erratic panic. i hope you didn't have too much trouble finding room for all of your clothes and shoes and purses and also, i hope that you're feeling better because while your voice is umm...really...sexy...*cough* you need to eat your cough drops! anyway, i'll be seeing you on the 25th when you come home cause guess what--i don't leave until the 26th!! let's hope that i at least have that day right!
ROBBIE: i have to apologize to you too for having to back out of plans because of my stupidity about orientation. thank you very much for the cd though--way good. now i have to find the ep so i can BUY IT. that's right-- BUY it. thanks for not torturing me w/ dashboard as much as you could have and hey--sometime i'll brave public transportation (haha cause i am a cold-hearted closet republican who hates everything) or i'll go up to visit w/ lan!! i'm sure i'll be seeing you soon though!
so yes. that is all for now i think. other than the fact that tomorrow i leave for oregon. i was supposed to go on monday but mommy decided that we might as well get in an extra day of fun. at least the grandmother is no longer driving up w/ us but is instead flying up a couple of days later. it's a give and take situation i guess and you can't win them all. so yeah--i'll be back next monday or tuesday or something. so call me and leave me fun text messages because i don't think that my great aunt has a computer. i don't think cave junction, oregon has computers in general. oh how fun...
