Busy two weeks
Well damn I know I said that I was plannin on updating more often but circumstances beyond my control have forced me to stay off my compy. As I stated last entry I have moved into a new apartment and things are goin ok with that. My roommates are a bit odd. One tends to funnel Natty Lite on Monday nights the other is a postal worker and part time student that is a bit reclusive. The only real problem is that living with guys again has lead to a rather unhappy kitchen because things are a good bit nastier than I like to see when I try to cook dinner. Another problem is that there has been no internet thus no posts. The main cause of my lack of internet I feel is that I have recently started playing Ever Qest II which for the short times that I have been able to play has been great. Way better that EQ I.
More importantly than that is school. That after all is the reason that I am up here in the first place. Both of my classes are goin very very well. They are just what I think I needed at this point in my life; In so far as helping me to become better aquainted with the program here as well as helping me to begin on a self rediscovery journey. I have started attending a Buddist meditation group which meets 3 times a week. This has gotten me in touch with myself in ways that I havent felt in many years. I have also started workin with my tarot cards more and more and they never cease to amaze me with the insites and clarity that they impart. So more and more Im finding my spritual self again and reassessing my belief systems.
Several other going ons around here are note worthy. The psych students here like to try and get together on Sundays to play soccer =) So this past Sunday week I put on my old cleats and went out to prove how out of shape I am. Things were goin rather well untill I actually had to run more than 5 steps. Yeah Im an old fart now and a good bit out of shape so ive decided to try and bike more (as it warms up) and drive less.
I am also expecting a call back from a potential job at some point this week. The whole thing about workin for the apartment complex didnt pan out so I started lookin for a different job and one kinda stood out. Its a brew pub/ steak house. They are still in construction but will be gettin open here in the next few weeks. The pub will be brewing their own beers *YUMMY* and the kitchen looks to be put together rather well. When I went in for the interview I was aked what Id like to do and I told the guy that Id like to get my hands into a bit of everything. Which kinda took him by suprise but I told him of my somewhat ecletic work history and he said that he had had some simmilar experiences so he understood.
Lets see other than that, OH yeah my best friend got married last weekend. Yes Alexis got married and I was the psudo maid of honor =) No I didnt get to wear a dress but at the after party I got a fuzzy muff (kinda a inside joke) The wedding was nice not as depressing as the last one I went to but still made me very thoughtful and marose.
Ah yeah the weather was interesting this past weekend. You may or may not know that there was a ice storm that hit the northern part of the state and that just happens to be where I am =( It wasnt too bad in LaGrange but there was a loss of power from late Friday night until today. On a related and cool side note my Mom is alergic to cats and so now that my cat lives there she is having trouble so in a effort to reduce the ammount of hair and dander we had the cat shaved=) No hes not naked but he has been shaved down to about a 1/4 inch or less of hair over most of his body. They had to sedate my kitty to get him to sit still as you may guess. But his tail and face still look the same all big and poofy he just is alot skinnier just in time for the cold. He actually looks to be takin it very well and the vet was amazed that it was mostly cat and not all hair. Ive seen smaller dogs than my cat. For those of you who know kitty if you want pics of my shaved kitty just let me know Im gettin my mom to take a few pics and email them to me later this week so I should be able to send em out at some point.
