First day of school completed

The first day wasn't that bad. There was a teensy bit of over-lap between the two classes today.

The IVY070 class appears to contain some real slackers. The teacher asked a question to the class, and nobody appeared interested in answering it. I gave them a few seconds, then I went ahead and answered it.

There was also a brief/easy in-class assignment. It seemed a lot of the students didn't even bother picking up their books yet. Even those that had their books seemed somehow incapable of leafing through the books and finding 5 things that seemed remotely interesting. (As that was the "assignment".) -- What made it even more laughable was when someone else (we were going around the room, so everyone had to say what stood out for them) said "I think he (meaning me) covered it all."

... slackers. Oh well. They should somehow manage as the IVY070 class is a bloody simple class, even if I'm the only one that gets any "class participation" points.

The English class seems rather ordinary enough, except for being located in an odd room. (There are strange machines in the room with us.) The only bit of inconvenience there was the fact that the English book I bought on the 1st wasn't the book they ended up using. I'm hoping I'll be able to return the 5th edition book, (we're using the 6th edition), otherwise I'll take it to a used book store and exchange it for one or more cookbooks or something.
