Mike sent an email to Tumbleweed's corporate to find out why all their restaurants were closed...

Michael, As a parent company, we are disappointed about the recent events surrounding our Northern team. Diamondback Management, Inc. (DMI) has closed their seven Tumbleweed locations in Wisconsin and Illinois as of Sunday, November 30th. It is unfortunate, because we had a loyal following in those markets for more than a decade. DMI was one of six Tumbleweed franchisees and, as such, operated as a separate corporation. We had worked diligently to assist that company to remain viable, and had even sought to acquire the units they operated. Ultimately, they were unable to meet the concessions we felt were necessary for us to assume ownership or contractual operation of those units in a profitable manner. We will miss each and every guest who was loyal to Tumbleweed and always welcome you to enjoy our great southwest flavors at another location during your travels. Thank you for your interest and for your past patronage. Laura Monroe, Guest Relations
