THE INCITING INCIDENT.
Favorite YA book: Of ALL TIME? Either The Princess Diaries: Princess in Love (Meg Cabot) or Fly on the Wall (E. Lockhart). Recently read, I love Catching Fire (Suzanne Collins), Clockwork Angel (Cassandra Clare), Beautiful Darkness (Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl), and Paranormalcy (Kiersten White). Oh, and Avalon High (Meg Cabot)!
Favorite genre(s): Paranormal romance/urban fantasy, *some* contemp chick lit, if it's humorous. I hate angsty books.
Who is the dreamiest YA romantic lead? Why?: Lend, from Paranormalcy -- no matter what face he chooses, he's still beautiful. AND he's one of the few paranormal romance leads who I feel respects his leading lady!
Who is the best YA heroine? Why?: Either Katniss from THG or Sam from All-American Girl (Meg Cabot). They get things done and do them with grace, and their lives aren't about the boys in their worlds (even if they do end up with their perfect matches).
Which book-to-movie adaptation are you most excited for?: I'm freaking out about THG and TMI, but I really can't wait to see how The Caster Chronicles are adapted!
RECOMMEND a book!: I just finished Candor by Pam Bachorz, and if you like really disturbing/scarring endings for YA dystopia, I recommend it. Otherwise... The Mediator series by Meg Cabot!

What ships don't billow your sails?: Bella/Jacob. I'm not 100% sold on wanting Clary/Jace as endgame, yet. I like them, but I'm still rooting for poor Simon. HE JUST DESERVES SOME HAPPINESS! Evie/Reth. Mia/JP.
RECOMMEND a fanfic for a YA lit book!: For The Hunger Games -- Of Madness. For The Mediator -- Human Relations. For Percy Jackson -- (this trilogy/series of one-shots): Remove Tag Before Washing, and Other Addenda, Thousands Hungry in an Hourglass, and Untitled Finale.

The type of friends you're looking for: I really only post fandom things, and I mostly respond to fandom things. So if you like reading and discussing books and fic, then my journal is good! Otherwise... not so much, I guess. Since I don't post about other things.
