Well doing better this time I am just under 3 months now. LOL
January
The main water shut off valve stopped leaking so I do not have to worry about that. Not too much else happened this month besides work still being busy.
February
I did not get my vested time as a contractor in so I only show working here for 2 1/2 years when I've been here for almost 5 now. This sucks since I do not get my extra vacation now.
My washer died around Valentine’s Day luckily it was still under warranty but it took a week for the parts to come in and get it back up and running again.
March
Maer & Meg came to visit me on the 6th through April 10th. I took the 6th off for a 3 day weekend for my birthday. I went to Banditos for my birthday with Maer, Meg, Mom, Step Dad, and little brother.
We did the basic shopping and eating out at the various places around this area. Went to World Market since it was closing nothing much there, it was slim pickings. Went to the Korean store and got more Curry and Xylitol gum.
The weather was pretty rainy or over cast for most of the month had some problems with flooding in my basement again will have to tear out the wall behind the bar and seal it. At one point we went to the Fort Wayne Botanical Conservatory. It has been a long time since I’ve been there. They were having a “Clue” exhibit in the main area. Although the place was looking a bit run downed and some of the plants looked half dead it was still pretty interesting to go through the different climate areas and see all the different kind of plants.
We watched a bunch of movies during the month almost something each day, we finished The Lost Crown, & played one of those find the item puzzle games. The puzzle game was a lot easier and enjoyable with other people and I used my laser pointers for the others to point out where the objects are on the projector screen.
We went up to Battle Creek Michigan to see a friend whom was just told that her Cancer was in remission. We ended up going for a swim in the hotel pool with her 2 daughters and fiancé then went out to eat at olive garden. The next day we went out to a local park with everyone for the local pagan celebration Ostara. It was interesting to see the different rituals and how it was kid friendly and aimed at showing the children the basics of the holiday.
I got a flyer in the mail saying a new bar open in plaza the just a few blocks from me called Cocktails. It looks like they serve some of the basic bar type foods there as well might go check it out when someone visiting next time.
April
I got a call from my sister asking about what I was doing for Easter and she told me that they had a fire in their barn and lost some of their dogs in the fire. The 3 adult Danes survived and the horses were luckily out in the pasture so they were safe too.
Maer and Meg went home on the 10th we went out to Red Lobster which I haven’t’ been to in awhile since I’m not a sea food fan. I ended up getting a chicken pasta dish.
I’m still playing Fallout 3 it is a pretty nice game I’m really enjoying the theme and interactions with the environment and other characters in the game. I pretty much went with the good route and now I think I will start over again and take the evil route to see what happens.
For Easter I went over to my sister’s place around 11 AM and ended up staying till about 9 PM. It has been awhile since I’ve seen everyone so it was a nice visit. They have are almost finished with their new barn and it is much larger than the last one and has a large horse riding arena that is lighted via lamps and windows. The stables are really nicely done and they have a separate Tack room. Some of the old beams are in the older part of the barn and you can see where the wood charred. They just bought a new puppy terrier name Tilly who is right now an in- door dog. It was a lot warmer in the barn out of the wind so we moved the soccer goal net inside the barn played soccer inside. It was pretty fun but ended up with a lot of sand in my shoes.
I have to decide on what my summer schedule is going to be like. My company has a 9/80 summer schedule where you work 9 hour days Monday-Thursday and work 8 hours on one Friday and get the next Friday off. Only catch is you can’t take the Friday you have to work off so have to schedule thing in advance to make sure nothing conflicts.
Oh somewhere in there (I would have to go back to CM’s LJ post to find out exactly when) I signed up for a free deck of Magic the Gathering cards from their new set. I just got a box from them yesterday and I ended up with 2 pre-made starter decks the red and black ones. Which is pretty cool since red was the primary color I used to play with supplementing black every once in awhile. I didn’t really see any new cards mostly older ones that they brought back and renamed for this new set.
Well that is at least the highlights of what is going on with me. I probably missed something but that’s what happens when I take too long to update I really need to try to update more on a regular basis but work is pretty busy and wears me out a lot. Well hope everyone is doing well and will post again next time.
