So I woke up feeling better than I did last night. A vaguely remember Diego coming into my room and bringing me food. As I fell asleep, I worried about getting a sore throat because of post-nasal drip. I woke up at 3 am to not the worst sore throat ever, but enough to curse my passing out randomly on the couch watching Ghost in the Shell. I proceeded to take a really hot rinse in the shower, brush my teeth, and then rinse with saline for about 10 minutes. It was fun.
I woke up this morning at 7:30 and ate the sandwich Diego brought me. I irrigated my nostrils and sinuses and worried about disrupting cilia, but continued to push saline up my nose. I dislodged some good colours once, but for the most part it was clear, which is good. I could breathe through both nostrils again and decided I should go running. I checked both buildings for non-issue confirmation and ran down central. Persistance kept me running, but body fatigue made my legs feel like jelly. I could breathe great, though the air felt sharp going through my nose. I did my best to run most of the time, but for inspiration I thought about sex with Jake, which is fun and not very labor intensive. I thought about my upcoming trip to Tally and got a burst of running speed, which quickly faded as I sweat into my track pants.
Maybe pants were a bad idea.
In other news, I've printed the final paperwork for getting a passport, credit card, and british citizenship. It's gonna be a busy week after Christmas.
Do I actually dislike Christmas, the holiday I grew up with? Yes, I do, though I do like family gatherings or excuses to cook obnoxious dishes which everyone feels obligated to try. A FARK post about traditions made me think about my family traditions; I think it's time for some new ones. I am no longer the child and my family is no longer just blood-related.
