dumdeedum:Very cute <3 I loved it! But now you got images of Jack tied up in ribbon lying under the christmas tree... *drool*

yakkorat:Not a bad image at all, is it? *grin*

Happy holidays!

drbillbongo:OH MY GOD!!! *squees*
That was adorable!!
The christmas tree with legs, Jack playing "Stille Nacht" (weee, German!) on the piano, the sugar stick (very very ambiguous *grins*) - everything was so lovely!! And it even had amazingly flagitous wig abuse!! I wish I could see that christmas tree!

*glomps yakkorat and wishes a merry Naval christmas*

yakkorat:Thank you SO much, sweetie! You just made my night with that review! And I hadn't even thought of it, but I guess that does qualify as wig abuse. LOL.

*huggles drbillbongo*

Merry Christmas, hon!

Love,
Julie-Rae

drbillbongo:Now you got me flushed. :)
But really, it's lovely! And of course, wig abuse! :D

tseek_unique:A really delightful read. The scenes are so warm and tender. I can see that tree topped by a wig and girded by Jack's sash! And, ooh! A historical reference! I am always delighted by historical references. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

yakkorat:Thank you so much, darling! I'm glad you used those particular adjectives. "Warm" was really the goal, and it's so gratifying to know that I achieved it.

The wig on the tree was the birth idea of the whole fic. LOL. Originally, the sugar stick was going to be a seperate story, a Jack/Will, actually. But James appropriated it. Maybe "confiscated" would be the better word, though I'm sure Jack would say "comandeered." LOL.

As for the historical reference, though I did my homework on the tree, wliberation has disagreed with my timelines, and though the few sites I found assured me this was possible, she/he has other information. Since my research was a rush job, I'm willing to concede defeat on this one. LOL. But if you get curious and decide to look into it on your own, by all means, let me know what you ( ... )

wliberation:Actually, Stille Nacht was composed in 1818, and I'm still a bit dubious about the appearance of a Christmas tree (as I've understood that the tree wasn't really introduced to the Brits until Queen Victoria and the early 1800s), but I'm an annoying hairsplitter, so ignore me. :) I did enjoy the story a lot; it was sweet, funny, fluffy... Just right to get me into Christmas spirit. And, heh, I loved the part about the wig. And, aaaaww, the lurve! *snoggles lovely boys* This was a very beautiful story, a well-written one. I really enjoyed it. Thank you, and Merry Christmas/Holidays!

yakkorat:Thank you so much for the information ( ... )
