Speechless

I do believe this week I was the most speechless I have ever been to a single statement made by someone. I'm a pretty hard person to leave speechless you have to understand. I also don't think I can recall any other instance where speechless was accompanied by instant dizziness. So here goes. This is the short of the long...

Phone call from my mom:

Mom: "The divorce was finalized today and I'm getting married in 3 weeks."

Me: "...... ...... ..... What? ... .... .... Wow."

Mom: She said something but I was dizzy at the time...

Me: "Well... Um.... Congrats...."

Yep. That's about how it went. That sentence has soooo many things wrong with it I can't even pick where to begin. How about this is history repeating itself? She's only been married once, the divorce that just ended. That relationship begin quickly, moved in together right away and married within a few months. That one turned out so great. This new guy, they met, moved in right away. Now she's getting married within a few months again. From one right into another? I understand that idea when I dunno, buying a house for example. That statement would go like "The house sold and now we're buying a new house." See how that makes sense. It doesn't make someone dizzy to hear.

How do you think it's a good idea to go from a long term yet failed marriage straight into another marriage. Oh also this new guy is the only man she has dated since leaving my dad. Uhh, memo: DATE AROUND. Second memo: UPGRADE. Don't make it the same type of guy.

I guess none of that matters. To her. As long as she's happy right?
